Wedding jitters were a bitch

Wedding jitters were a bitch. And Mijung was feeling them in real with an intensity that had everyone on their toes.

When Heejung proposed to her in the most romantic way possible, looking over the Seoul skyline and looking as handsome as ever, she had thought it would be alright. She was the happiest that day, not because of the diamond ring around her finger, etched with their initials on it but because it had been her only fantasy for a long time.

But she didn't think she'd be getting cold feet at the last moment. Right when she was sitting in the photo booth, not letting Heejung enter the booth to see her. She would end up crying and feeling guilty for it if she saw him.

"Jun," Migyung said now, sitting beside her and fanning her, "it's okay. It's just Heejung. The Heejung that we have known since we were kids. You know he's going to keep you happy always."

She sighed, running her hands nervously over the fabric of her wedding dress. The Hanbok her mother-in-law had got for her was really beautiful, made out of the finest silk and the subtle pastel pink design on the bottom of the skirt with the traditional golden design brought so much drama to the white of the rest of the fabric. It was so beautiful. She looked so beautiful and yet she was so scared.

"I know, Yun. I know. I love him... I love him so much but I don't think I can keep him happy."

Migyung was frustrated with the same talk again and again, she could tell but there was no way she was going to back out.

Just then, the curtain opened slightly and Heejae entered with a stoic face. Standing in front of the twins, dressed in a blue and red hanbok matching Migyung's, she put her hands on her waist.

"Kim fucking Mijung. Get your damn act together. Do you know how worried my brother is because of you? The idiot thinks you are upset with him and that's making him upset which in turn is making Jiwoo upset. If you don't stop my son from crying my head off in the next two minutes, I'm not giving you any gifts."

The threat, as Heejae had expected, didn't work.

Tears gathered in the bride's eyes, the girls panicking as they tried to stop her from crying.

"Fuck," Heejae cursed, "I'm sorry, Jun. I didn't mean it. Take your time. Let the idiot die out of worry. Let my son bother Yoongi as much as he wants. Just don't cry."

With a defeated sigh, Migyung turned to her friend. "Jae, you're not really helping here. You were better outside. Just go handle your kid."

With a roll of her eyes, she took the other spot beside the bride. "Oh please, this isn't why I came here. I really can't handle it anymore. A mom needs rest okay? Jiwoo didn't let me sleep at all last night. And you won't believe but Yoongi and his mom, both slept through the night. Not once did they help. I mean, what is the point of their existence."

That brought a broken laugh out of Mijung's lips and the girls relaxed somewhat.

"My mom isn't like that though," Heejae continued. "She is a light sleeper. It's the reason my only chance to run away was when she was on a business trip and I took it."
