"So, he's really back?"

I drank my full glass of champagne in one go and glared at her.

"Kakasabi ko lang diba? Are you even listening?"

I'm here at Fina's condo, again. I don't even know why I'm here. I just know that I want to share this with someone. I was going to call Bianca, but I remember she's in Europe right now for a business trip. So instead, I'm here at Fina's.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm listening but wait..., how does it feel?"

She motioned herself closer to me as we were facing either side of their large countertop. I furrowed my brows from her question.

"Anong 'how does it feel'?" Parang inis kong puna habang nagrerefill ng champagne sa baso ko. Hindi ko man lang na-refill ng maayos dahil hinablot ni Fina yung bote mula sa akin.

"Nakaka-dalawang bote ka na. Maghinay-hinay ka nga. Nagkita lang kayo ng ex mo, maglalasing ka na."

Nalaglag ang aking panga sa sinabi  niya at matiim siyang tinignan.

"Ako? Mag-lalasing? Because of him? Psh! You know I don't do that drunk phase. At kalian pa ako nalasing sa champagne?" Hambog ko sa kaniya.

"Don't do the drunk phase? Really twinny? Don't you remember? I caught you drinking yourself to sleep in your room months after your break-up. Alone! Grabe yung gulat ko pagpasok ko sa room mo noon, limang bote ng champagne na wala nang laman. I can't even believe you drank five bottles of champagne. Alone."

I glanced at her and immediately lowers my gaze to the countertop and pressed my eyes. Gosh! I also can't believe it either. Reminiscing about it makes me sick to my stomach.

"Well, I don't feel anything anymore. He's now just a guy from my past. 8 years have passed. I moved on." I confidently said and drank the wine until its last drop.

Fina just took little sips because she can't drink too much. She'll be early tomorrow for her apparel launch. We went silent for a few seconds, and I heard her sigh deeply as she faces me.

"So, what's this business proposal? You think it will help the company seal the deal with the Singaporean investor?" She soberly asked.

Our eyes met and she looks serious with it. I straighten my back and stand properly with my hands holding the sides of the countertops.

"His proposal was pretty convincing. I looked at his company's profile and he was able to establish it four years ago. His company is well established in the States, the bar that he recently opened immediately became the talk of the town and I guess agreeing to this proposal will do good to ours." I shared.

Nang makarating ako kanina rito kina Fina, hindi pa siya naka-uwi at naglaro ako kasama ng mga kambal. Ako narin ang nagpatulog sa kanila at mabuti naman at madali silang patulugin kanina dahil napagod ng husto sa kakalaro.
