"How's the progress lately, Engineer Carpio?"

The moment he signed the contract deal, I immediately contacted our trusted civil engineers and architects to work on the project. We started the first installment at our hotel branch here in Baguio. Bars and clubs have been a popular thing now and since not so many of them are installed in Baguio, hence why we decided to have the first installment here.

Kakadating ko lang rito sa Baguio at agad akong dumiretso rin rito sa Hotel namin.

"Everything is going according to plan Ms. Fia. I'm positive that we'll be able to finish this according to the set project timeline."

I nodded and smiled genuinely at his report. I looked at the constructed building and even though only a month had passed, the foundation of it has been established.

"Ikaw lang mag-isang pumunta rito, Ms. Fia?" Tanong ni Engineer Carpio.

"Yes, ako lang."

Tumango naman siya.

"Hindi po kayo nagkasabay ni Mr. Lazaruz?" Tanong niya.

Kumunot ang aking noo sa tanong niya. Bakit niya naman naitanong?

"Uh... no. Why?"

"Galing kasi siya rito kahapon. He also inspected the place along with Architect Mendez."

"Architect Mendez?"

I didn't recall having Architect Mendez be a part of this project. I mean, if I could, I would have wanted to have her! Architect Mendez is one of the best architects in the Philippines. She is the one who designed most of the luxurious houses of every celebrity and was well-known in Dubai.

With everything on her plate, I didn't bother to approach her because she's a really busy person. But she was here? Along with Keanu?

"Ah yes. Nagulat nga rin ako nang magkasama silang pumunta rito. Sabi ni Mr. Lazaruz, Architect Mendez will help on the design, and he will contact you daw to fill in with the details. Akala ko naisabi na niya sa'yo."

Mahina akong umiling at ngumiti sa pahayag niya.

"Maybe he'll contact me within the day. Thank you for the updates, Engineer."

"No problem. I'll escort you down. Medyo mabato ang daan at madulas pa."

Tinulungan akong iginiya ni Engineer Carpio papuntang sasakyan ko. It's the rainy season here in Bagiuo kaya madulas ang lahat ng daan at maulap at medyo foggy pa ang paligid.

Hanggang bukas pa ako rito at bukas rin yung flight ko pabalik dahil kailangan ako sa company bukas para sa pag-fifinalize ng deal namin with the Singaporean investor.

The moment this first installment finishes, we will send a report presentation immediately and hopefully, we'll be able to finally seal the deal.

Pumasok na ako ng sasakyan at nagmaneho papuntang main building ng Hotel, Hotel Celeste and Pine Forest. Hindi naman kalayuan ang distansya ng ininstall na bar sa main building. Pwede ko namang lakarin na lang ngunit madulas talaga ang daan at nasa may elevation part iyon ng lupa.

Nakarating narin ako sa wakas sa hotel at inihinto ko ang sasakyan ko sa mismong tapat ng entrance para yung valet na ang mag-park nito sa parking lot. Mahina naring umuulan at ayokong mabasa ng ulan dahil madali pa naman akong siponin tas ang lamig pa ng klima rito. Umiiwas muna ako.
