Officially and Forever

"Selena and Seth are gonna have cousins!"

Sigaw ni Fina at mabilis akong sinunggaban ng yakap. Nandito ako ngayon sa condo unit niya para ilahad sa kaniya ang balita. Kaya rin ako nandito dahil gusto kong tanungin kung sino ang mairerecommend niyang OB.

Keanu became so serious about this whole pregnancy the moment we made it certain yesterday with the doctor. Gusto niya makapag-check-up na kami sa OB as soon as possible. Mas excited at prepared pa siya sa akin na parang siya ang magdadala ng sanggol sa loob ng siyam na buwan.

"I'm so happy for you." She warmly said as she let go of the hug and faced me. I smiled small.

"Are you happy?"

She looked at me with almost teary eyes.

I nodded. "Yes. Yes, I am." That was true. I am happy. Really happy.

"But..."

I sighed. "I'm gonna lie if I say I'm not a little scared."

She pouted her lips and hugged me again and softly caressed my back.

"I was scared at first too. Even more scared when the doctor said I was carrying twins. Can you imagine that? First-time mom and you're carrying twins."

With that, I was hit by a sudden realization.

"What if..., kambal rin sa'kin? Is that possible? I mean..., we're twins. Is that a genetic thing?"

I sound terrified as I bombarded her with so many questions. Hindi talaga maitago sa akin yung kaba.

I'm scared of many possibilities. I'm scared of many what-ifs. I'm scared of many mixed thoughts. I feel like my hormones right now are making me crazy. Is this a pregnancy thing?

"Hey! You have me, okay? You're not gonna face this thing alone. You have Keanu, you have me, Mom, and everyone."

For some reasons, that made me calm. Nakahinga ako ng malalim at hinawakan ang kaniyang kamay.

"I can't believe my twins are gonna have cousins. Eee! I'm so excited." She screeched.

"What cousins?"

Napalingon kami sa taong nagsalita malapit sa pintuan. Si Kuya Hezekiah pala.

Lumapit naman si Fina sa kaniya at pinakita yung pregnancy test ko. Nakita ko kung paano nanlaki ang mata ni Kuya at napatingin sa akin.

"Oh my God! Fia, congratulations!" He excitingly said as he walked towards me and gave me a hug.

I hugged him back and smiled. "Thanks, Kuya."

I still call him Kuya even though he and Fina are married, and we're twins.

When I first found out about their relationship years after I and Keanu broke up, it felt awkward at first because I never thought he and Fina would be a thing because I always see Kuya Hezekiah as an older brother and I always thought he see us two as his younger sisters,

But I guess Kuya Hezekiah sees Fina differently and vice versa, especially when they were in Paris before. Who would have thought, right?

We plan to share it to Mom, Dad and to Mommy Eden as well this Saturday. Right now, it's Wednesday and our first agenda is to go to Fina's recommended OB doctor. Gusto niya akong samahan ngunit sobrang busy niya at may panibagong launch na naman siyang kailangan ng matinding planning dahil sa Paris ito magaganap.
