(Y/n's POV)

Fifth Period World History was great. I talked to Eddie and learned a bunch of stuff about him. We joked all throughout class, but I couldn't get what he said out of my head. 'My belief that I would fill it in when I fell in love.' something about that simple sentence made my heart flutter. It wasn't filled in... Had he never been in love? Everyone falls in love at some point, right? How has he not? Out of all of the girls I've heard he's been with... none?

I packed me bag and started to make my way out of class to head home when I heard yelling from behind me. I turned and saw Eddie running my way.

"Sooo... I know you're not in Hellfire, but do you want to join us at the club assembly thing.

"Club assembly thing?"

"Pretty much freshmen learn about extra activities at school."

"Sure, why not?" I followed Eddie into the school gym where a bunch of tables were set up. A bunch of clubs were in the process of getting things together before the freshmen would make their way into the gym. Eddie walked over to a table that was already set up.

"Gareth and Jeff set it up during the end of fifth period." The table had a bunch of things on it. A team shirt, a dnd board, some dice, a few Hellfire pins and even a book which consisted of old pictures of the club as well as different campaigns that they had fought. I continued looking at it as Jeff and Gareth walked in. Everyone said their hellos and of course I complimented them on their work for setting up the table. We all got behind the table and watched as a swarm of freshmen walked in. I immediately noticed three boys running toward our table.

"Welcome men." Eddie said to the boys who all introduced themselves. Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Lucas Sinclair. I automatically knew who Dustin was. He was one of Steve's friends and had been hanging out with him for a while. I actually knew him quite well as me and him had actually hung out together ourselves.

"Y/n you're part of Hellfire?" Dustin said excitement in his eyes.

"No, not really... Just friends with these dipshits." Dustin and I both laughed and hugged each other.

"It truly has been forever man."

"I know Dust and I am very sorry for that."

"You kind of just disappeared when I started hanging out with Steve." I lowered my head and apologized again as Gareth started talking to the boys about their class, level, and experience. Eddie grabbed my arm and pulled me to the side.

"I thought you said you didn't have friends?"

"You don't know a lot about me Munson." I felt him put his hand on my cheek as he looked at me with a worried expression. I just shook my head reassuring that I was fine, and we walked back to the table.

Dustin and mike stayed at our table for the rest of the time talking between Eddie, Gareth, Jeff, and the other guy. I wasn't fully introduced to him so the name 'other guy' will work for him I guess until I learn who he is.

I walked quietly away from the table putting my hood up as I walked around the room looking at all the tables. I start to walk past the cheerleaders table when I heard my name being called. I turn around and saw Chrissy waving me over to talk to her. I pulled my hood further over my head as I walked towards her.

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh ya know... 'helping' out Eddie I guess." Putting quotes around the word helping.

"But you aren't even part of Hellfire... are you?"

"No, I could never join those dipshits." She laughed as I smiled.

"Why the hood?" She asked pulling it off my head. I quickly put it back up and glared at her.

"I don't need Jason's posse to realize that I'm here."

"But they won't hurt you." I looked down.

"Yeah," I paused for a minute, "we can only hope."

"Y/n is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I was just gonna head out."

"But I thought you were helping Eddie." I turned to look at the table as Chrissy said this. I noticed all of the boys laughing and getting along.

"They don't need me here." As I said this I turned around and walked out of the room. I walked through the empty school halls keeping my hand on the wall. I felt all of the bumps and smooth parts of the walls and lockers. I heard steps behind me as I automatically knew whose they were. He always walked the same way.

(Eddie's POV)

I looked around for Y/n so I could as him a question but noticed he was nowhere to be seen. I noticed Chrissy seeming a bit on edge, so I excused myself from the group and asked if she knows where Y/n went. She pointed towards the door leaving the gym. I don't understand why he would leave. He seemed perfectly fine earlier... but I guess none of us had talked to him for a minute.

I walked towards the exit doors and noticed that Jason wasn't with his group. I understand that he got punched in the face but still, I saw him in here a minute ago. I opened the gym door leading towards the hall and quietly walked out as I heard voices. One obviously Y/n's but the others I couldn't tell until I got closer.

"Y/n you know I'm sorry about the past." I saw Jason put his hand up to Y/n's cheek, but you quickly smacked it away.

"We fought everyday Jason."

"And every night I fell in love with you. Y/n no one has ever made me feel how you did. You were everything to me and you know that."

"Gross. Jason look... you were different then. You weren't an absolute dick. Therefore, I'd like you to leave me alone. Plus, you have Chrissy."

"I'd love to have you more than Chrissy."

"Will you just fuck of Craver. YOU mean nothing to me."

"Cmon Y/n, let's try it again"

"Never again, our love was a joke nothing but a dare. And you know that." You spoke as you walked away from him. I saw him put his hand up to his neck obviously stressed and upset as he walked back towards the gym. I quickly hid in a janitors closet as he walked past. I was about to open the door when it opened for me.

"It's not very nice to eavesdrop Munson."
