Football is actually interesting in person. Every once in a while I stand up to cheer with everyone else. Not that I know what I'm cheering for, but it's still interesting nevertheless. I do prefer seeing it on tv though, at least you hear the sports announcers explaining something.
Both teams are tied 23-23 with 5 minutes left.

I watch the scoreboard for home change from 23 to 25. Everyone stood up to cheer, as did I. Columbia finally won a game, I guess the ballet paid off. I wonder if this means that they won't be dancing with us anymore?
"Come on," Avery grabs my hand leading me away from our seats.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"To congratulate them."
She leads me down quite a few stairs until we get to a door that says locker-room right next to it. I'm not even going to question how she knows where the locker rooms are. A few minutes pass and they finally come out.
Cameron walks towards Avery.
She high-fives him, "You guys did so good."
"Thanks," he tells her, "Hey Elle," he also acknowledges my presence.
I smile at him.
"Hero should be out in a second," he says
He thinks I'm waiting for Hero? What impression did I give him to make him think I'm waiting for Hero? Whatever, it's not the worst thing in the world, and maybe I should start being nicer to him.
Hero comes out of the locker room, his hair is wet from what I'm hoping is a shower. He's wearing grey sweatpants and a plain black t-shirt.
"Ballet pays off," he says to me.
"I would hope so, congratulations on winning." I smile.
"Couldn't have done it without you," he goes in for a hug.
I put both my hands in front of his chest stopping him.
"I'm trying to be nicer, so if that's sweat dripping down from your hair it's gonna make it harder, so please tell me it's water."
He laughs, he laughs so hard that he holds his stomach, "It's just water."
I nod my head and give him a side hug.
"If I have to win games for you to touch me or even look in my direction, just know I'm going to win every game from here on out starting now," he whispers into my ear.
I instantly let go of him.
He laughs at my response.
"You're not going to make this easy," I squint at him.
"Neither are you. By the way, your glasses are cute. I didn't know you wore them."
"Yeah, I can't see far away, some things are blurry."
I notice Parker walking toward us, "Hey, I was just talking to Avery and Cameron, we're going to Gizmos. Care to join us?"
"I'll go if Noelle goes," Hero smirks.
I roll my eyes, "Of course I'll-"
I get cut off by my phone beeping in my pocket, I pull it out and it's Nadia.
"One second, it's my sister."
NADIA: Hey, wyd?
ME: I'm leaving a football game, why?
NADIA: Are you going home? If not can I join you, I really wanna get out?
ME: Why not, we're going to a place called Gizmo's Espresso.
NADIA: Can you just pick me up?
ME: Sure see you in 15.
I put my phone back in my pocket, "As I was saying, of course i'm going but Avery and I have to pick up my sister Nadia."
I look around for Avery and I can't see her, nor can I see Cameron.
"Ohhh right," Parker says backing away, "You have to ride with Hero, i'm going with Cameron and Avery. See you two there," he jogs off and I sigh.
"They love plotting against me."
"And they love working with me," Hero winks, "The car is this way."
I follow him to the car. Once we get there he opens the door for me to get in.
"Thank you," I say.
He nods, closing the door and coming around to the driver's seat.
He gives me his phone, "Type the address to your sister into maps."
"You didn't unlock it."
"Oh, the code is 0628," he starts the car.
He gave me his password that easily?
I enter the code into his phone, then go into the maps app typing in the address. I hand him back his phone and he begins the directions.
The first 5 minutes of the car ride is silent, that is until Hero breaks it.
"I never knew you had a sister."
"There's a lot you don't know about me, like my glasses, or my favorite flowers."
"That's funny because I do actually know your favorite flowers."
I turn my face to look at him, "What is it?"
He takes a long pause, "Violets."
My eyes widen, "How'd you-"
"Your dance bag, it has a pin of violets on it."
"How'd you even notice that? It's so small."
He shrugs his shoulders, "I notice a lot of things."
Oh.
Guys I change my mind, this is no longer a slowburn but they still won't be getting together just yet. Also I didn't plan for how long I want this book but I'm thinking between 30-45 chapters and I'm definitely not going over 45. Anywho chapter 10 in Hero's pov should be up by August 1st or 2nd and if you couldn't tell I prefer updating at night.
