2 months later, it's almost time for Bradley and the cadets to be transported and head to the war zone, where the war between the Americans and Russians are at. Chris and Nick are thinking of which cadet would be team leader to lead the group into the war.
Both Bradley and Jason wants to become leader, and Jason plans on using Bradley and Leanne's secret relationship to blackmail Bradley, to let him become team leader for their group. As the days almost on the day that they're all suppose to be transported, Bradley and Leanne start to worry for each other, fearing that one of them will get hurt or killed on the field.
2 days before departure, Bradley is taking a shower when he is encountered by Jason. "I know about you and Major Sutherland.", Jason replied. "What are you talking about?", Bradley asked. "I saw you and the Major kissing the other night, I know you care about her.", Jason replied. "That's none of your business.", Bradley replied.
"So you do care about her, Carter?", Jason asked. "What do you want, Jason?", Bradley asked. "I want to be team leader for this group and I want you to let me take this title.", Jason replied. "And if I won't?", Bradley asked. "Then I'll tell General Sutherland about you sleeping with his daughter, and we both know what happens when the General finds out.", Jason smiled evilly.
Bradley is stunned by Jason's blackmail and he suddenly remembers the words from Hailey's letter, who tells him not to give up. "No, I won't let you do that.", Bradley sighed. "Fine, then I'll tell General Sutherland about you and his daughter. Good luck on being leader, Carter.", Jason smiled, as he walks away, leaving Bradley standing there.
Outside, Leanne gets ready to head back home, when Bradley suddenly calls out for her. "Major Sutherland!", Bradley cried, as he runs up to her. "Carter, is everything ok?", Leanne asked. "We need to talk.", Bradley replied. "Ok, what is it?", Leanne asked. "Nichols knows about us.", Bradley replied, which surprises Leanne.
"What? How?", Leanne asked. "He saw us kissing the other night.", Bradley sighed. "Oh my God, first Parrish and now Nichols.", Leanne sighed. "I'm sorry, I had no idea, he was watching us until he told me just now. And not only that, but he's using our relationship to blackmail me, to let him take the title as team leader, and he would report to your father about is, if I refused.", Bradley replied.
"And what did you say?", Leanne asked. "I said no.", Bradley replied. "Oh my God, Bradley!", Leanne cried. "I can't just give it up, Leanne. I promised my sister that I would be strong for her and our family.", Bradley sighed. "And what about me, huh?", Leanne asked. "You promised me that we'll keep our relationship quiet until the end of this war, when we'll tell my father about us.", Leanne cried.
"I know, but I want this title and I can't let Nichols win and make me weak. I'm so sorry.", Bradley sighed. "Sorry's not enough.", Leanne sighed. "What does that suppose to mean?", Bradley asked. "It means we're finished!", Leanne cried, ending their relationship. "No, Leanne. Don't do this. After what we've been through!", Bradley cried.
"I'm sorry, Bradley. But we aren't suppose to be together.", Leanne sighed, as she gets on her motorcycle and rides away, as Bradley calls out her name, but she is gone, leaving him break down in tears. Bradley returns into his room, crying and Shane, whose room is next door to Bradley's, overheard him and comes over.
Shane sat on Bradley's bed, and watches him, crying. "Are you ok?", Shane asked. But Bradley didn't answer, as he sits up and hugs Shane, who is surprised. Shane hugs him back and comforts Bradley who is still crying. "It's alright, you're ok.", Shane sighed, as he comforts Bradley in his arms.
The next day, Bradley tries to go through his training, and Shane tells him just try to keep Leanne out of his mind, but he couldn't, as Leanne is always present at training. That morning, Chris and Nick makes an announcement on who will be team leader for their group, and Leanne and Victor is there to see it all.
