The next day, Bradley, the cadets and the other soldiers continues heading out and throughout half an hour from departure, shots suddenly fire at them. "Take cover!", Nick screamed, as everyone take over as the Russian army starts shooting at them. Bradley quickly takes over behind a boulder, with Leanne. Bradley starts shooting and so did Leanne.
Many soldiers are shot, some are killed and some are badly wounded. Suddenly, Mateo gets shot in the leg, which everyone witness. Chris immediately calls out for Leanne to help Mateo. "Sutherland, cover for Lopez! We'll cover you. ", Chris called out. "On it, Sarge!", Leanne cried, and Bradley grab her arm.
"I love you.", Bradley sighed. Leanne then kisses him one last time. "I love you.", Leanne sighed. "Go!", Bradley replied, as he continues open fire. Leanne then rushes out of her hiding spot and heads to where Mateo is and she is able to head to him without harm and tends to him.
"You ok?", Leanne asked. "Argh!", Mateo cries, in pain and Leanne quickly grab some First Aid bandages from her gear and wrap it around Mateo's leg, whilst shooting back at the Russian Army, protecting Mateo.
After minutes of open fire, the Russians start to retreat after running out of ammo, and Bradley and the others bring Mateo back to the camp to treat his wound. Bradley and Shane both carry Mateo back to the camp, and the other cadets and soldiers surrounds the trio for cover.
Chris calls out to Victor, back at the Army base to bring Dr. Bill Fisher out to the field to tend all the wounded soldiers. Victor agrees and sends Dr. Fisher and his team out to the field, by helicopter. Upon returning to the camp, a helicopter lands and Dr. Fisher and his team, including Chris' nurse wife, Nicole arrives to the camp and starts tending all of wounded soldiers at the medical tent.
Bradley and Shane quickly brings Mateo to the medical tent and Dr. Fisher is the first doctor to tend him. "Gunshot wound to the leg!", Shane replied, as he and Bradley takes Mateo inside and put him onto the bed, as he cries in pain. "Well done, gentlemen. We'll take it from here.", Bill smiled, as Bradley and Shane leaves to join their team.
That night, Bradley and the cadets are inside their tent, waiting for news about Mateo. Bradley is anxious, and Leanne sat next to him, consoles him, until Chris returns to their tent, with the update news about Mateo. "Sarge, how is he?", Bradley asked. "Lopez is fine, he'll make a full recovery.", Chris replied, as everyone sighs with relief.
"But, Lopez won't be able to return to the field to fight.", Chris sighed, as everyone sighs with disappointment. "Ok, cadets. Get some rest, because we're going back out there at dawn.", Chris sighed, as everyone heads off to sleep.
