The next day, Bradley wakes up early as usual and makes his bed, before heading out for his usual daily morning training with the other cadets. Chris and Nick gather them all together at the Cadet Unit before training, to make a big announcement.

"Good morning, cadets!", Chris called out. "Morning, Sarge!", all of the cadets replied at the same time. "Before we start our morning training, Captain Wilde and I have an important announcement to make.", Chris replied, as everyone looks at him.

"Today, we have another commanding officer to teach and train you all starting today. She's the youngest Major in this Base has ever seen and got one of the biggest records in her training. She's also General Sutherland's daughter. So please welcome, your third commanding officer, Major Leanne Sutherland.", Chris replied, as Leanne walks through the pathway, as everyone turns and looks at her. Bradley looks at her as she stands with Chris and Nick.

"Good morning, cadets. As you know who I am, I'm Major Sutherland, as Sergeant Thompson already said. Today, I'll be taking over your morning training, which Sergeant Thompson and Captain Wilde, assisting me. Today's morning training to target shots, which we'll use paintball guns, so grab a protective helmet and vest and a paintball gun, and head to the training field.", Leanne replied, before leaving to head out to the training field.

At the training field, Bradley and the other cadets gets ready for target training, and Leanne divides them into two teams of 5. The first team is Bradley, Shane, Drew, Mateo and Sarah, with Bradley as team leader, whilst the second team is Leanne, Jason, Reed, Bryan and Hawk, with Leanne as team leader. Chris and Nick watch them train behind the training field's fence.

The two teams take cover as they start shooting at each other with paintball guns. Bradley tries to take out Leanne, but she immediately dodges his shot and shoots back at him. Most of Leanne's team were shot and are forced to get out of the training field, once getting hit. With all of 4 of her team-mates out, Leanne is the last surviving soldier in the field, battling against Bradley, Drew and Mateo.

"We can take her out! There's 3 of us and only 1 of her.", Bradley replied. "I don't know, man. She can take us down.", Mateo sighed. Leanne overhears them and smiles to herself. "On my count, we'll all shoot her at the same time.", Bradley replied, which Mateo . "Alright, let's do this.", Drew replied. "Ready? 3, 2,1...Go!", Bradley cried, he and his team gets up and tries to shoot Leanne, but Leanne's quick thinking, she swiftly shoots all 3 of them down in seconds!

All of the cadets are so shock to see how Leanne is able to defeat all 3 people so quick, whilst Chris and Nick smiles proudly. "You're out, boys!", Leanne smiles, which frustrates Bradley. "Damn it! She's good!", Bradley cried. "Like I said, she's an excellent shooter.", Shane replied.

After training, Bradley returns to his room and tries to take off his uniform, in pain. "Argh!", Bradley cried. Leanne who walks by, seeing him struggling. "Hey!", Leanne called out, as he turns around and sees her standing there. "Major Sutherland.", Bradley replied. "Need a hand?", Leanne asked.

"Yes, please.", Bradley replied, which makes Leanne smile. "Come here, I'll help you.", Leanne smiled, as she walks up to him and she makes him sit on his bed, and she slowly and carefully takes off his uniform, revealing all of the paintball bruises all over his body. "Ooh, I really got you good out there. Stay here, I'll be back.", Leanne replied as she leaves his room in a hurry.

Leanne returns to his room, with a towel, some ointment and a bowl of cold water. She soaks the towel in the bowl of water and starts to treat Bradley's bruises, by patting them with the wet towel. "Argh!", Bradley cried in pain, which scares Leanne. "Sorry! I'm so sorry!", Leanne cried, as she continues to gently pat down his bruises.

After patting his bruises with the wet towel, Leanne applies some ointment onto his bruises. "There, it'll reduce swelling and inflammation. It'll take about a few days for the bruises to heal, so I'll keep on checking them and treating them for a few days.", Leanne replied, as she grab his uniform, to help him get dressed again.

"Thanks.", Bradley replied, as Leanne looks at him and smiles, before putting his uniform shirt back on for him. "What's it like to work at the same Base with your father?", Bradley asked. "Well, it's really interesting, it can be weird because my dad is also my boss, but I'm getting used to it.", Leanne smiled, as she finish putting his uniform back on. "There, done.", Leanne replied.

Then the army bugle plays, which caught both Bradley and Leanne's attention. "Oh, sounds like it's lunch time! Head to the mess hall and get some lunch. I'll see you around.", Leanne smiled. "Ok, sounds great. See you later.", Bradley smiled, as Leanne leaves. After Leanne left, Shane comes to Bradley's room. "Hey, wanna head to the mess hall together?", Shane asked.

"Yeah, let's go.", Bradley smiled, as he slowly gets up and heads to the mess hall with Shane. Upon arrival, it is packed, filled with many soldiers and cadets from other groups, who are grabbing food or eating by the tables.

Shane and Bradley sat together, separate from the other cadets in their group and whilst having lunch, Bradley notice Leanne, from the distance, having lunch with her father, and alongside Chris and Nick. Shane talks to Bradley, but Bradley isn't seem to listen to his words, as he kept looking at Leanne, who is sitting away from him.

Shane notice this and confronts Bradley about it. "What's up with you and Major Sutherland?", Shane asked. "What?", Bradley asked. "Carter, you've been staring at her since last night.", Shane replied. "She's interesting, I'm just trying to get to know her.", Bradley replied. "You can't get to know, Carter. You aren't suppose to make conversation with someone like Major Sutherland.", Shane replied.

"Why not?", Bradley asked. "It's not professional, and her title has to be professional.", Shane sighed. Bradley is a bit sadden that he can't start a conversation with Leanne or get to know her more, since she's a Major and he's just a cadet. However, he ignore Shane's words and make his goal to pursue her.

From that day, Bradley takes the military rules seriously, he continues to train and study hard and follow orders from his commanding officers. Leanne continues to help him treat his paintball bruises and during that time, he is able to talk to her. The more they talked, the more Bradley and Leanne gets to know more one another.
