1 year later after the war between the Americans and Russians, Bradley goes to physical therapy after getting shot and he eventually makes a full recovery. Things have changed a lot throughout the year, Bradley and Leanne's relationship grows stronger as it becomes public to the whole Army base, and after Victor gives them his blessing.

Shane returns home early, as Lori finally gives birth to their daughter, whom they called Alice, but Shane eventually returns to the Army base in time for the graduating ceremony where all cadets become official officers. Bradley and his fellow cadets, all stand in a line as Leanne gives them their badges, making them official army officers.

Leanne puts Bradley's badge on him and they both salute at each other, as Bradley is now an army officer. Bradley's family watches with proud as all cadets are now official army officers. After the ceremony, Bradley reunites with his family. "We're so happy for you!", Mary cried. "Thanks Mom.", Bradley sighed. "And we're proud of you, son.", Nicholas sighed.

"You're now a man.", Ben smiled, as he hugs his brother. "Officer Carter!", Hailey called out, as she comes face to face with Bradley, who hugs Hailey, as they finally reconcile and make up at last. "I'm so sorry.", Hailey cried. "It's ok, I forgive you.", Bradley sighed, as Hailey cries and hugs him.

That same day, it's time for Bradley to depart the Army Base and return home. But he felt sad, as he has to say goodbye to Leanne and all of his fellow cadets. Bradley is able to say goodbye to all of them including Jason, who now respects and makes peace with him. They all promise to stay in touch with each other.

"I'm going to miss you, mate.", Shane replied, hugging Bradley. "Me too, but I'll call you.", Bradley smiled. "Sounds good.", Shane smiled, before he leaves with Lori and Alice. "I can't believe you're really leaving.", Leanne sighed. "Me too.", Bradley sighed.

"I wish you stayed.", Leanne sighed. "I know, but I have things to do back at home, and I want to spend time with my family, to make up missed times.", Bradley replied. "I understand.", Leanne sighed. Bradley is happy that Leanne is understandable and accepts what he has to do.

"I guess this is goodbye.", Leanne sighed. "No, not goodbye. It's see you soon.", Bradley sighed, as they share a kiss one last time, and a hug. "I love you. I wish I told you that much longer.", Bradley sighed. "I know, I love you too.", Leanne sighed. "I'll come back soon, I promise.", Bradley replied. "Then, I'll wait for you.", Leanne sighed, as Bradley agrees, who kisses her forehead.

They both let go of their hands and Bradley gets in a car with his family, and it drives away to the airport, whilst Leanne watches them leave, with Victor comforting her. "You'll see him again.", Victor replied, as Leanne looks on.
