~Isabelle~

I breathe in deeply, the smell of books and adventure filling my nostrils.

Yeah, the whole lie low thing lasted until this morning, when I found myself drowning in boredom. After calling work and saying I'd be out all week due to illness (me trying to lie low), I had cleaned the entire house once again and had nothing left to do; no more social sites to distract me. Unfortunately, the content after a good cleaning that usually settles within me did not stave off the boredom for as long as I had hoped.

So, I adorned a practical disguise. White washed grey jeans, a pale blue blouse with a silver chain across the neckline, a light grey beanie, white converse and my black Ray Bans seemed to do the trick. To the passing strangers, I was some random teenager.

I trail down the Barnes and Noble young adult aisle, my fingers skimming against the spines of the books; a warmth settling within me.

I swear I could live in this store my entire life and be completely and utterly satisfied; that's how much I love books.

After searching around for a good twenty minutes, I find something that peaks my interest. It's a series, a long one; just how I like them.

I read the first page of 'Glass Houses', the first book in the Morganville Vampire series. Immediately, I want to read more, craving the authors' artistic writing. So, I plop down onto one of the cushioned armchairs in the aisle and lose sight of reality.

~~~~~
"Isabelle?" A male voice asks. I glance up and see a familiar face walking towards me. Brunette hair spiked up, sharp hazel eyes, a crooked nose and a sculpted jaw. I know you. I think, leafing through my memory.
I glance down quickly at the page I'm on and shut the book, glancing at my phone as well; about an hour had passed.
"Hey." I look up and see him standing in front of me. My eyes scan his body as my mind scurries around, trying to recall where I know him from.
"Ummm Hi." I begin, standing up. "How'd you know?" I ask, settling on just asking a question since I still haven't placed his identity.
"I recognized the hair." He says with a charming smile.
Well, thanks beanie. What a great help you are.
I take my shades off and my eyes meet his. That's when it hits me. "Stephen!" I say, shocked.
