Chapter 12

Clarke

I need air from the Camp me and the Commander are too busy battling for control and I have not been in charge for long however I may have only been a princess but my word was alway the law growing up and I hate being told no!.

"Shhh" Echo commands the group as we approach a bora I take out my dagger and throw it lands straight in the chest and the satisfaction I feel it great I haven't been on a hunt in nearly a year when Nia started getting ill I had too start taking over.

"You look like your enjoying yourself" Echo smiles and I smile back.

"I haven't been out in nearly a year I'm just enjoying myself" we both laugh something I feel like I haven't done in so long.

We head back to the camp with the large bora and a few other animals we managed to kill, blood, sweat and mud dripping of all our body's after the long day hunting. We're close to the camp when I hear the fog warning I look behind us to see acid fog.

"Acid fog run!!" I hear a shout in the group and we head at a fast pace toward the camp.

"Find shelter" I shout as I know there no way to out run this fast moving fog.

There's a cave a few feet away and I run toward it when I see Echo trip. I stop running and turn back to help her.

"Leave me run!" She says but I pull her to her feet and pull her toward the cave pretty much dragging her.

"I would never leave you" i say, I mange to pull us into the cave as I feel the acid just go over past us.

We made it just in time and I'm panting and exhausted I look at Echos who's led on the floor.

"Let me see your ankle" I ask and she pulls her boot of and I take a look at it, it's broken her ankle will need supporting.

"It's broken you must have landed wrong once this fog has cleared I will have to carry you back to camp" I inform her and she just huffs. "We should rest get some sleep and head back in the morning who knows how long the fog will last we don't have this in Azgada" i says and Echo just agrees.

The night was quick and with the TriKru weather it was strangly quite pleasant, that's when I hear the sound of horses and voices, voices I don't recognise. I wake Echo and signal to her that there are people around and she get her bow ready to shoot as she can't attack.

I grab a sword that someone's clearly left on the ground from past people who have been in this cave.
People start entering the cave and I attack and that's when a sword hits mine and we both pull our sword away recognising each other. It was a young warrior, one of the Commanders.

"Your majest..." he pauses and bows his head "I'm sorry when your party didn't return and after the mounting men attack I was sent to find you the Commander wanted you found" he explains

After helping Echo onto a horse we head back to TonDC once we arrive I can feel the strange atmosphere. A guard helps Echo into medical and I head to the Commander's tent.

"What's happen?" I ask and Lexa turn to face me she has a cold iron expression her war paint covering her face.

"The mounting men attack they've take most of the sky people only Bellamy, Raven and a boy name Murphy are left, most of your crew along with some of mine died in the acid fog and the mounting men killed all our warriors surrounding the Camp" she explains and my jaw tighten in anger my men have been killed because of the mounting and the sky people have been taken. "Also the sky people have landed there ships have broken up and they landed in different areas of the clans one has landed in Azgade make sure they are protected" The Commander tells me.

"I will send word to my people to escort them here with out injury" i inform her and she agrees.

"Raven is meeting with her people and we talking about going to war for our people trapped in the mountain" she informs me and that when I take a step back.

"Wait you expect me to call all my men here to fight a war, the mounting don't bother us in Azgada why should I send my warriors to death?" I ask Lexa pissed that she expects me to go to war.

"Your apart of the coalition that means you fight for me!" Lexa growls angrily and that just make me pissed off.

"I fight for my people and there safety, my people suffered enough with war I want peace for them!"I bark back. Lexa then smiles.

"Your nothing like Nia you don't want blood shed?" It sounds like a question so I shake my head no. "I need your men to win this war, with you and the sky people the threat of the mounting will be no more" she explains and I have to take a step back to think about it.

"I will send word to my people but only the men that volunteer will fight this war" I tell her and she nods her head.

"Thank you Klork" she says and I smile back at her.

"The sky people leader we are meeting with him tomorrow I hope your ready" Lexa says and i nod my head once again not wanting to use my words.

I go to check Echo her ankle is definitely broke and she's now strapped up meaning she can't fight in this war.

"Clarke" Echo says as I walk into the medical tent I smile sadly at my best friend.

"We meet with the leaders of the sky people tomorrow, there ship landed when we had the acid fog, the mounting men took most of the 100 who had already been on the ground kill some of our people in the process" I inform her wanting to get straight to busyness.

"Okay I will rest tonight and then I'll be ready" says says and I smile sadly at her placing my hand on her thigh as I sit down.

"Echo your ankle is broken, you can't walk I'm sorry, but you have to take a break from fighting" Echo just glares at me angrily.

"I can still shoot a bow better then anyone you need me!" She growls angrily and I feel bad.

"I'm sorry but I can't risk you getting any more hurt please just stay in camp" I pretty much beg of my best friend and she just huff out a breath.

"Fine but if anything happens to you I'll kill you myself" she threatens lightly with a half smirk half smile and I just laugh and agree with her.
