The Ice Queen

chapter 19

Lexa

I lay protecting watching the unconscious blond haired Queen, I fear for her she lost far to much blood before we manged to quaterise the wond and I just hope she's doesn't get an infection. It's already been to long and I wat h as the sun starts to set I wanted to wait until she woke before we move but I can't wait any longer, not with no protecting and an unconscious Clarke.

Gently I lift the unconscious body and she doesn't even stir and I start to worry, I quickly check her pule and it's still there weaker then I'd like but still beating.
I carry her bridle style through the now dark forest keeping my eyes and ear focused on the surrounding area that's when I see touch light and the sound of warriors. I hold Clarke firmly and watch as it grows closer and I'm ready to place her down and fight if needs be but that's when I see Anya and a hoping Echo at herside, relief settles over me and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

Before I got chance to open my mouth Echo has practice rushed over to be touching the blonds face, as she looks her over seeing her blood stained cloths and the burnt flesh on her arm.

"What did you do" she growls, I let it slide k owing her and Clarke are not only first and second but best friend.

"She was attacked, I killed them don't worry" I says so she knows I've kept her safe. "We was then chased by puana" I say and Anya face turns cold knowing the damage the beast can do with just a flick of one of its mighty paws.

"What happened to the beast?"Anya asks and i watch as Octavia brings a horse over towards me were at least an jour walk from camp.

"Clarke and I manged to trap it don't worry we can take care of it after the the mounting men are delt with" she nods her head in agreement meant.

"I mount the horse and insist on keeping Clarke with me, we ride back in silence, Clarke doesn't even stir and once we're back with in the walls of TonDC Clarke is take straight to medical.

Heading straight back to my tent Anya follows close behind me, we ender the candle lite tent and it not long before she speaks up.

"I understand why you followed her bit what if that was you unconscious and injured all because you followed her" she instantly barks at me know why she still sees me a baby Lexa the 9 year old girl she was sent to train.

"I was actually following Dorna he seemed to be acting strange and it's a good thing I did because he attacked the Azgade Queen" I shaped back "Had he killed her the alliance would have been broken and war would break and with over 200 Azgade warriors in camp it would turn into a blood war!" I argue firmly and Anya just nods her head now understanding.

"I worry for you Lexa if you die so does the coalition you keep the peace not the people" she says and I do agree with her.

"I know" I say softer and she just walks over to the plans.

"One of the sky people escaped the mounting a girl by the name of Alyssa she's says they control the acid fog and that our people are kept in cages!" Anya says and the face makes me angry our people being treated like animals in cages. "She escaped with one of our own or should I say one of the Ice nations people" she say bitterly.

"Who?" I ask wondering if it could be one of the Azgada men I know.

"The Prince Roan" she says and the tent goes silent the Prince being in the same camp as the currently unconscious Queen could cause problems of power.

I wake and my arm throbs instantly but the smell of pine wood and lavender fills the air, I groan out in pain trying to pull myself up when I here a voice I never thought I'd hear the voice of a man I know.
