Well this is not going to be easy

He gently pushes me against the wall and places his hands on both sides of my head. I am completely trapped by him. All I can see is him, all I can smell is him. He smirks and looks at me from the head to toe. "I've missed you." He says and moves even closer. He is way too close, I feel like I could pass out from his scent. God, he is like... A God. He gently places a part of my hair behind my ear. He presses my cheek with his hand and looks straight into my eyes, I feel like he could see through my soul. "Is my princess feeling better? Are you okay now?" He asks and again, moves even closer.

I need to kiss him. I need to kiss him right here and right now, I don't care who sees. I need to feel him even closer to me and the only way I know how is illegal to do it in a public place. Flashes of his bare skin against mine make me blush.

"Yes, I am." I mutter, my voice shaking with excitement. I am trying so hard to cover it, but he smiles again and I've failed. He knows how he's making me feel, he knows how I'm crawling under my skin. "I've been cured."

"Good, 'coz I can't spend another week without my princess." I swallow the lump in my throat and give in. I place my hands in his hair, pull him closer, and press my lips on his. I...

I snap back from my memory and sit down. We are on a train, heading towards the capital. I've been on a train a few times before and the last time was when I moved from district two to seven. I look at the huge table and it's covered in food. Everything I've ever dreamed about is right on the table. Fruits, vegetables, different meats... Pudding, pie, salad, cake... I grab a plate and stand up. I take oranges, rice, chicken, and some sort of sauce and grab a bottle of juice. The juice is meant for the whole company but I open it and drink from the bottle. I might die soon, who gives a shit if I drink juice from the bottle?

Iris Sanksion rolls her eyes when she sees me drinking and I give her the finger. I despise people from Capitol. I've heard mainly good things about Sanksion but I am not a fan of her huge blue hair, weird red make-up, and the fake scars she has painted on her face. Last year's winner got huge scars during the game and it clearly "affected" Sanksion. Pathetic. Scars are now in fashion. It's sad.

"So you are Victoria Arison." She looks at me and smiles. Her whole face is so weird, it doesn't move like it's supposed to. Someone once told me about this thing called botox and I am pretty sure she has some of that in her face. It's so unnaturally still? No wrinkles, no movement, nothing. Even her smile is forced.

"Yep. " I say and pop the 'p'.

And for the first time, I actually look at the other tribute from my district. My eyes go wide when I see him and I feel so stupid. "Eddie." I say and laugh. "Oh my God, it's so great to see..-"

"Great to see me? On my way to die in the game?" He says and laughs. He stands up, walks over to me, pulls me up, and gives me a huge hug. For the first time after Iris Sanksion said my name, I feel like I actually exist. Eddie's hug feels like home. I close my eyes and take a deep breath and for a second I can imagine I'm at school, going to class, and seeing him. I pull away and sigh.

"Yeah, I wasn't going to..."

"Yeah, it's okay." He goes back to his seat and smiles at Sanksion. "I am Eddie Munson."

"Yes. I see." She says and forces a new smile. "Your mentors are going to be right here any second."

Our mentors. Those ruthless killers have won a few previous games. Francesca Williams and Filip Williams. Siblings. Francesca won like ten years ago and Filip won maybe two or three years ago? I've lost count but they are the recent winners of district seven.
