Chapter 9.33334: The Hatsume's

Third person POV

Everyone knew about the Hatsume Company, they were japans leading hero tec company placing 6th place worldwide in hero technicians.

The leader of the company was Yuu Hatsume, she was a strong woman who was married to Ren Sato he was originally an ordinary businessman until he married her and they built the Hatsume Tech industry and he became the director whilst Yuu took the position of CEO.

They had 2 children, a male and female twins, their names were Inei and Mei respectively, The family was very happy.

That was before Ren was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he was going to die soon and he couldn't do anything about it.

That was when his malicious intent was made apparent, he began to secretly cheat on Yuu, he would beat the children and whe they got their quirks it only got worse.

Ren was quirkless so when the twins developed their quirks his jealousy of them only grew and things only went downhill from there for the twins.

Mei had gotten a quirk that allowed her to see up to 5km away it was called zoom, for Inei however he had gotten a quirk called enhance that simply enhanced all his physical and mental capabilities.

Ren would more often hurt Mei as her quirk would not aid her in defending against him like Inei's could, furthermore her quiet disposition meant she was less likely to tell anyone of her mistreatment.

Their fathers abuse continued until one day when Yuu came home from a business trip early and caught him in the act, Yuu was a headstrong woman who valued her children's safety over anything and so she cut ties with him immediately despite his desperate attempts to make her stay, the court allowed her to have full custody of the children and his rights over them were removed, furthermore he had charges of child abuse being pressed against him, he had fallen to disgrace and had less than a year to live and it seemed he would likely be spending it in prison.

Mei and Inei still shone brightly despite the injustice that had happened to them, unfortunately however the judge let Ren off with a warning once they realized he would not have long to live anyway and saw no point putting him into a prison due to this.

This was a grave mistake.

On the twins 6th birthday he turned up at the house with a present, he was of course denied entry but he persisted day and night, until finally a month later Yuu allowed him into the estate to give the twins his final present.

That was her mistake.

The twins watched from afar as their father unwrapped the present for them.

It was a gun.

He aimed at Yuu first and shot, she twisted her body and the bullet embedded itself into her arm, instead of the intended target of her head.

Yuu liked her privacy so she never had any maids or servants around the estate as she could always build a robot for housework and the onlt two guards she had stationed at the estates entrance were blackout drunk and had not noticed the commotion in the house.

She screamed at the children to run to her workshop, the door there was impenetrable and she had many weapons littered inside that she could use to protect themselves, luckily the twins reached the room safely, but the same could not be said for Yuu, just as she ushered her children into the room, another shot rang out and a bullet was shot through her knees.

She was now immobile and there was no time for her to drag her body into the room, she instead gave her children one last smile before closing the door trapping them inside, and her outside with a soon-to-be-murderer.

The twins could only watch helplessly as their mother closed the door before they began hearing the screams muffled by the door in between them until they heard a final shot and then silence enveloped their house.

They could hold their tears no longer and broke out in tears as they grasped each other fearing that the worst had happened.

They stayed in the room for qhat seemed like hours, but in reality was around 15 minutes until they heard what sounded like the sirens of a police car, it seemed that Yuu had somehow contacted the police before her death as the two deadbeat guards where still blackout drunk at their station.

The twins moved around the room still sniffing as they searched for a way out, it took a while but finally they found a hatch that would lead them to the garden behind their house and from there they could run around the estate towards the cops.

The only problem was that the hatch out of the house was made of metal and it was on the side of the house that faced the sun, so when Mei placed her hands on it to open it it burnt her immediately.

So now they had to find gloves.

That wasn't too hard of a task but Inei had to look alone as his twin was busy crying in the corner due to the burn she had received from the heated metal.

Finally Inei found some thick gloves that would do the trick and protect his hands when he opened the hatch and slipped them on, he wobbled towards the hatch and pushed it open, he jumped down and signaled for Mei to wait.

Mei had followed after him but had yet to make the jump down, she watched Inei as he turned around and then

BANG

The police where in a very high stress situation, the head of Hatsume tech and her children were under attack by their former Spouse who had formerly been convicted for child abuse, and from the distressed voice of her when she called it was likely that she was already dead.

They had been ordered to shoot Sato Ren on sight, they had been given the description of a man with a large mop of black hair and told that it would be likely that he would be trying to escape from the crime scene.

So when a nervous police officer on his first big mission saw a figure with a mop of black hair pop around the corner of the estate he shot on sight.

He called for his supervisor as he slowly neared the man.

Until he noticed it wasn't a man

It was a boy.

He had shot.

And killed.

An innocent.

CHILD.

He raised his gun towards his temple as the guilt over came him, the image of a lifeless young boy lying on the ground with his eye's whites showing was the last thing he saw before he died.

Mei scrambled out of the hatch as soon as she heard the gunshot landing roughly on her knees and hands.

She turned the corner and ran in the direction of the gunshot, but then she came to a stand still...

"INEI!!!!"
