Where would she go from there? After everyone had given up? Prove them wrong.

Sophie had to find the strength to get up and prove that she was a fighter. Even though every muscle in her body ached, she turned out of bed and hobbled to the door. She wasn't done, not yet.

The door made the smallest creak as Sophie turned the door nob and pulled it open. She walked to the railing and struggled down the stairs. She got to the bottom, expecting to see her parents. But no, they were no where in sight.

She made it to the kitchen table before almost passing out of exhaustion. She was about to give up, then she say the imparter sitting in the middle of the table.

Sophie snatched it, and with what was left of her voice said.

"Show me Alden." She said in a whispered, crackly voice.

The imparter flashed and a tall, handsome elf appeared on screen.

"Grady?" The Alden asked, then paused. Just above a whisper he said. "Sophie is that you?"

Sophie nodded, she was too exhausted to do much more.

"You're here." Alden sounded shocked and excited. But not as much as he should have then.

"How? You know what? I'm called Elwin and Tiergan, and coming over right away. Don't move." Alden said. He hung up.

Sophie just sat there is disbelief. A few minutes passed before the the door burst open.

Elwin, Tiergan and Alden rushed in. They all stopped when they saw her. Elwin was the first to move. He started to examine her up to down. Every couple of seconds handing her another Elixir.

She looked rumpled and sickly. Almost like she was on the verge of death. Because she was.

Elwin set Bullhorn down near Sophie's feet. He started at her for a moment before scattering under the table.

A collective shock took place. Not only was Elwin, Tiergan and Alden standing there. But at the bottom of the stairs stood Grady and Edaline.

Edaline was crying messy tears. And Grady was just standing silently with a death grip on Edaline's hand.

Sophie turned her head to look at her parents. They rushed over and gave her a hug that managed to be both gentle and very crushing. Like they were afraid to let go. Elwin eventually had to tell them to.

Grady gently scooped her up and carried her to the couch. Sophie was laid against a pillow on the soft white couch. She looked across the room. They all looked like they were afraid she would run off. Or worse, lose consciousness again and not wake up.

While Sophie was getting fussed over again by Elwin, Alden was making some calls.

He stepped into the the other room to call Della.

"Hi Sweetheart." Della said in her cheerful voice. "Is everything okay?" She asked noticing Alden's worried look.

"Everything is fine... well in some sort." Alden started.

"Did something happen?" Della asked.

"Yes, Sophie woke up." Alden said plainly.

"That's wonderful!" Della said. "Is that a problem?" She asked when Alden didn't smile.

"I'm glad she's awake, but we still have no idea what caused her to lose consciousness the first time." Alden finished.

Della frowned. "That's not good."

"It isn't indeed. I called to update you and to ask you to sent Fitz to Havenfield." Alden said.

"Alright. I love you. Is everything going to be okay?" Della asked.

"I'm sure there is no reason to worry. I love you too. Bye."  Alden hung up.

He joined everyone again in the living room and took a seat across from Sophie in an armchair.

A couple of minutes passed before a knock on the door was heard. Grady got up to answer it and let Fitz inside.

"I heard the news" He paused when he saw her. "You're awake." He breathed.

"Yes, but we don't know for how long." Alden said. "We need you to see what's wrong. You are the only person here beside Mr. Forkle that can slip past her blocking. It was too dangerous to go in before, now is the chance." Alden said as if he though he was running out of time.

Fitz walked over to where Sophie laid on the couch and crouched next to her.

"Do I have permission to enter you mind?" He asked.

"Yes, but first you need to tell me who you are." Sophie said.

"What do you mean? It's me, Fitz." Fitz said.

"I don't remember you." Sophie said clearly.
