017 | after the fact "I needed to do that, for finn and you."
GRAYSON pulled Octavia into a shielding hug when Bellamy brought out a screw, not wanting the younger Blake sibling to witness the sight. Their embrace is broken at the sound of the hatch opening again — Raven climbing up.
"Reyes—"
"What's taking so long?" She demands looking to those around her in agitation, "he stopped breathing."
Grayson feels light-headed as he pulls away, moving to go back down to his brother, "wh—what?" Raven stops him, holding him in place.
"He started again but next time, he might not," she assures both Grayson and Clarke, who've moved towards the hatch.
Clarke gestures towards the grounder — who hasn't spoken a word despite the abuse that Bellamy has done to him for the antidote, "he won't tell us anything."
"Wanna bet?" Raven huffs out.
She moves past the two in front of her and makes way towards the wires that are sticking out of the interior, ripping them out towards the grounder, who tries to back away.
"Reyes."
"What are you doing?"
Raven looks between Grayson and Bellamy only to glare towards the grounder, "showing him something new," she tapes the two live wires together, going to place them on his body.
The grounder stiffens when the wires make contact, "which one is it?" Raven interrogates going in with the wires again, "come on!"
Grayson doesn't hesitate — rushing forward to grab the wires to stop her, "Reyes, you could kill him?!" He snaps making Raven shake her head in disbelief, "if he dies, Finn dies! Don't you get that!"
"He's all I have!"
Raven's word make Grayson's grip on the wires falter enough for her to pull back and head back for the grounder.
"No more!" Octavia yells out.
Grayson slowly turns to find the wires inches away from the grounder, "he's letting Finn die!" Raven exclaims in frustration.
Octavia drags the blade down her arm which causes Grayson to wince, "he won't let me die," she says before Bellamy walks over and grabs her arm.
"Octavia, what the hell did you—"
Octavia pulls away from her brother and kneels in front of the vials, "this one?" She asks pointing to each vial, "this one?" Octavia asks again until the grounder gives a subtle nod to the antidote.
