━─── Souya firmly believed he wasn't at all an attractive person.
He wasn't blind to his reflection, there was the permanent snarl that tugged at his lips, the one that made his veins in his neck and forehead pulse out like cables under his skin. His clothes? Always the same grimy, gangster-esque getup that screamed more "I'm here to fight" than "I'm ready to impress." Sure, it matched his role as the vice-captain of the Fourth Division and it also matched his older twin Nahoya's vibe.
They were practically identical, and to Souya, Nahoya was far more better. Hundred times better. His older twin was everything Souya wasn't: charming (*cough*), effortlessly cool, and the kind of guy who could(might) get any(a) girl to bat her lashes at him.
But Souya wasn't interested in romance. He hadn't been since... well, ever. He wasn't built for that kind of shit. His life holds more fighting that are far too dangerous for anyone that isn't a gangster to be involved. Romance? Yeah, right. He'd never fit into that picture. Between him and Nahoya, his older twin would probably be the first one to get a girlfriend, no question.
But then, there was an enigma that ruined that kind of mindset.
A flash of crimson hair in the subway of Shibuya caught his eye one day, like a burst of fire against the cold monotony of the train station. At first, it was just a quick glance. Nothing special, right?
But damn, there was something about you. The way you stood out, with delicate features that looked like you belonged on a porcelain doll and eyes that sparkled like you knew something he didn't.
And those pair of eyes....they were locked onto him. Directly at him. No hesitation, no shy glance away. Straight up, an unflinching stare that had Souya feeling like he'd been caught in a spotlight. Your eyes practically glowed with interest, like a damn cat spotting a toy, and Souya's stomach twisted in a way he couldn't quite explain.
He shook it off. You're probably just curious, maybe about his scowl, or the fact that he looked like what he is, which is, well, a gangster. Whatever it was, he tried not to be interested.
But then what he thought was just a one-time occurrence suddenly managed to attain a second strike when out of nowhere, he spotted you again, after the conclusion of a Gang meeting in the shrine where you're not supposed to be.
And what do you know?
You're walking straight toward him, your crimson hair like a trail of fire in the evening light. You appeared out of nowhere, and Souya's mind immediately went into overdrive. Who the hell were you? Why are you here? And why in the hell are you staring at him like that?
