I watched from my bedroom window as the Fantastic Twins soared into the sky. Everyone clapped. Everyone was looking. Everyone was cheering at the Madrigal twins. Of course.
This happened nearly everyday in town. Something happens, usually something stupid, such as someone throwing something in the ground and BOOM!! The Fantastic Twins arrive.
They're so dramatic... With their shiny suits and their flights and their arrogance and their perfection and their super cool powers and their... UGH! I can't stand them.
Today, they had a big act, you could say. They blasted into the bank and tied up a few robbers. But of course she had to summon a hurracane for the drama. And he had to make the whole town shine green, so everyone knew that they had just done another awesome thing.
I felt tears prickling my eyes. Oh, I would give everything for a chance. Just a chance. Is it so much to ask for?
But no, I have to smile and stand on the side as they shine. Even if I can't move mountains, control the rain and hurracanes, save the town, or just stay another minute in my room, I have to swallow up my pain.
After all, I'm still a part of the family Madrigal... right?
