There's no magic in the town anymore. The miracle is gone.

And you know what? I like it this way. There's more space to be our own selfs.

For example, Pepa now does gardening! And Bruno's gotten into writing telenovelas!

And Mama... Well, she's still herself. But she goes bowling with her friends on Sundays.

And I? Well, I do embroidery as a hobby. But what I do most is help at the hospital. Since I stayed there, I've been fascinated by medicine and healing. I decided I'm gonna be a doctor. And, well, I make out... I MEAN, go out with Agustín everyday.

The town's changing. For better. I'm even starting to like it.

"JULIETA!!!! U COMING OR WHAT??????"

Oh, yeah.  There aren't "Fantastic Twins" anymore. But my siblings, Agustín, Félix and I still get on our bikes and go around solving misteries.

Which are usually about missing socks, but still.

I get on my bike and join my friends. We laugh and chat as we cycle, gaining speed through the hills and forests of the Encanto.

As the hot wind blews into my hair, I feel like this is the life I want to live.

I'm not anyone's shadow anymore.

I don't live under anyone's rules.

This is my life. My story. and it has only just begun.

I smile as I close the storybook. This story has always been my favourite.

"Well, it's time to sleep sweethearts"

One of my girls, Luisa, had already fallen asleep in my lap. I hold her gently and put her to sleep in her bed.

"Mami, what happened with the triplets?" Isabela didn't look sleepy at all. She stared at me with those big, curious eyes I couldn't say no to.

"Well..." I sat in Isa's bed "Pepa opened a flower shop. She was so happy! And she ended up marring Félix in a stormy day"

"Just like Tía" Mirabel pipped

"Yes, just like your tía" I smiled "Bruno kept writing, and when he got older he started directing his own plays at the local theater. He met a girl named Alejandra when she was the main actress in a play. They fell in love and end up marrying."

"Just like Tío. How curious..." I could hear the gears in Mira's little brain spinning.

"Yes. How curious..." I had to hold the laughter. If only they knew..."And Julieta became a doctor at the hospital! Agustín asked for her hand once when he was injured. And they lived happily ever after."

"Just like you" Isabela yawned.

I held her and put her to sleep in her bed, next to Luisa. Mirabel was still wide awake. I held her and started rocking her.

"Mami, those monsters in the story are gone, right? They can't hurt us..."

"Of course, cielo. They're gone. We, I mean, they took care of that long ago..."

"Ok" Mirabel started closing her eyes.

I left her in her bed, covered her with the blanket and covered her sisters. I kissed their forheads.

"Buenas noches, niñas."

I left the room smiling and went to my room. Agustín was already in the bed.

Everything was alright. Perfect... Then what was that weird feeling in the back of my neck?

"Hey, are you ok?" Agustín went to me worried

"What? Oh, yeah... Perfectly fine..."

I went to sleep.

Mirabel's POV

A little girl in pink pyjamas leaved her room when the moon was high up in the air and she knew everyone was asleep.

She tiptoed through the corridor and only stopped when she reached the door entrance.

She hopped no one was listening to her when she opened the door and ran outside.

"I don't want to do this. I want to go back to sleep" She pouted.

"Shut up, stupid girl" A voice in her head answered "You're gonna help the Master come back wether you like it or not.

"Mami says Vecna's gone..."

"Of course he is, you idiot! That's why we're bringing him back"

"You're bringing him back. I'm only here because you're controlling-"

A sharp pain in her chest made her shut up.

"What were you saying?"

"Nothing, sir."

"That's what I thought. Now, let's go through this again"

The girl didn't want to do it, but she didn't have a choice. She concentrated on a flowerpot in front of her.

She extended her hands. Suddenly, the pot flew in the air and landed in her hand.

"Good. You've done well"

But she didn't hear the praises. She wiped her nose and saw her hand covered in blood. She felt weak, weaker than she ever had.

An exhausted Mirabel Madrigal fainted in the garden.
