10- That's for our hermana!

Pepa's POV

Bruno, Félix and Pepa fell in something that was surprisingly fluffy.

"Oh, that was actually pretty nice" Pepa said, before realizing it was something that looked really close to bloody jelly "Ahh! Shoot! This is fucking disgusting!

The three of them started moving quickly. The "ground", if you could call it like that, seemd determined to make them trip and stumble in all possible ways.

They hicked in that redish world, unsure where they were headed.

"Um... you guys know the way... Right? We're going to your house after all..." Félix had a funny accent when he was nervous.

"Ha! As if you haven't been there a million times hitting on Pepita..." Bruno had a mischiveous smile, but he quickly started running away when he saw that expression on his sister's face that meant she was gonna kill him if he didn't shut his pretty mouth "Woah, lo siento hermana!"

"You're lucky I didn't bring my knife..."

Finally, they saw it. Casita was as imposing as in real life, only ten times scarier.

Pepa took a deep breath "We're doing this for Juli"

"Yeah..." Bruno seemed ashamed "We've been total jerks to her, right?"

"Kinda..." Pepa was determined not to cry, but her eyes starten stinging "But it wasn't our fault. El milagro was broken..."

They had to stop their emotional talk, because a group of bats the size of small trees started chasing them. The more they got close to Casita, the more violent they became.

When they couldn't dodge them any longer, they had to attack.

Pepa was the most violent. Bruno had to hold her so she wouln't start bitting them. Félix strangled them in his big hands.

They realized they'd lost some precious time fighting. And the bats just kept coming.

"Guys, we need to get moving!" Bruno had to shout so they'd hear it with all the racket. 

They all knew that the only way to get closer to Casita was to leave one of them behind.

"I'll stay" Félix put up a brave smile "You guys end what your sister started"

"No!" Pepa started crying and held Félix's neck "Don't leave me..."

"You have big things to do, mi vida" He kissed Pepa's forehead sweetly "I'll hold them of."

"Promise me you'll be ok!" Her voice broke. He hugged Félix strongly and buried her face in his chest.

"I'll try my best, mi amor"

Reluctantly, she let go of Félix.

She got further away with her brother, but she turned away and ran to Félix. She passionatly kissed him. Their bodies transformed into one.

After a few minutes, Pepa let go, with her eyes still swimming in tears, and went with Bruno, leaving Félix fighting.

The two siblings finnaly reached Casita. It was so crepy that Bruno instinctively held his sister's hand.

"Scaredy-cat, aren't you?"

But she put her arm around his shoulder.

They gingerly went up the stairs and reached Julieta's room.

No description could have prepared them for what they saw. Vecna was...

Well...

Pepa was speechless. Vecna seemed to be the devil's baby at least.

She put her hand in her pocket, and realized she had her knife all along. Although she didn't think of stabbing her brother any more.

Bruno's POV

They had a plan to kill Vecna.

Vecna was the creepiest, most disgusting and scariest thing he'd seen in his whole entire life. And, being in the football team, that was saying something.

Lucky for them, Vecna seemed  to be sleeping. Just as Julieta said he would be. She was so smart.

Bruno had prepared himself to kill him. He had rubbing alcohol and matches. With a bit of luck, he could make it.

His sister seemed paralized. He could understand. He was also very scared. But, he was the family man. That was his duty...

...no matter how scary it was.

We pored the whole bottle of alcohol on Vecna. He didn't seem to notice. Then, he lit a match and threw it to him.

"HIT THE DECK!!!!" He and Pepa hid behind a cupboard

Vecna caught fire.

"It's over" He could only think

But it very much wasn't over. Because, body ablaze, Vecna awoke and walked towards the siblings.

"Idiots" He said in a voice so deep and scary the ground seemed to shake "Think you can defeat me? I'll end you just as I did with your sister!"

Bruno's voice caught. His sister... Julieta. No, it couldn't be. He started crying.

He looked at Pepa. She wasn't crying. She seemed angry. Really angry. He had never seen her so furious in her life.

Pepa launched herself towards Vecna. He deffinetly did not expect that, Bruno thought.

Pepa started stabbing him with a picket knife. Bruno admired his sister's courage.

She kept stabbing him everywhere. Vecna fought less with every stab.

Bruno wanted to help her, but he didn't knew how. His sister started sobbing as he stabbed him.

"That's for our hermana!" She gave a last stab, and Vecna died in the floor "She's worth one hundred times what you are, you son of a-"

Bruno hugged his sister. They fell to the floor, and cried. Their sister was dead. And they were so mean to her... She probably thought they hated her. That broke their hearts.

"C'mon" He knew he had to stay strong for her sister "Let's go home"

Pepa mumbled an "ok" and they started walking back home.

Even if they were pretty sure nothing would ever feel like home again.
