I was getting married in six hours.

It was 8 in the morning and Sabrina insisted I get up and started getting ready.

All I need to do is shower, put on my suit and pretend like I'm happy. Which I'm not. Obviously.

I've been sneaking out to watch Scarlett. I have her entire schedule. Don't ask me how, I just do. But I've been watching her. She looks so tired.

Her shoulders are sagging and she looks skinny.

I hate to think that I did that to her.

I put my hands in my pockets, my steaming cup of coffee sitting in front of me as I look out the window.

"I'll be back soon. Don't forget the tailor is coming to fit your suit at 9." Sabrina said, interrupting me from my thoughts. I didn't look at her, I just nodded.

She sighed, her heels clacking across the hardwood floors away from me.

I breathed a sigh of relief once she was gone.

We've been staying in the same house, but sleeping in different rooms. I offered to sleep on the couch in the guest room just to get away from her.

So now I lie awake thinking about how miserable I'm about to be.

I hadn't written any vows, or prepared a speech. I only have one best man and no groomsmen. I didn't want anyone to witness me marrying someone I despise.

I hate Sabrina. I hate her guts.

She's the most foul human on planet earth. Conniving, manipulative, cruel. Any word you can think of that relates to the word 'evil', Sabrina will fit the picture.

I'm not looking forward to spending the rest of my life with this woman.

It was twelve in the afternoon now, and I was already at the church.

I will admit, the venue was beautiful. Flowers and lights were strung up on the roof, boquet's stealing the attention as the centrepieces on the tables.

The theme was 'fairy garden'. And it looked magical.

I just wish it wasn't Sabrina standing at the end.

God, anyone but her.

I wished nothing more than to have Scarlett walk through the door right now and tell me it's going to be okay, that this is all a big misunderstanding and she's my bride instead.

I definitely love Scarlett, I've known it for a while now.

People were starting the filter in, and I was told to go to the backroom to wait. All of this waiting, I just want to get it over and done with.

A heavy knock came on the door and I turned my head to see Steven Knightingale walk in, closing the door firmly behind him.

"I don't want you marrying my daughter." He said.

That was music to my ears.

"And I know you don't want to marry her." Really, what gave it away?

I stayed silent, staring at my own reflection in the mirror.

"But that does not mean you can't treat her with a little bit of respect." He started. "She will be your wife and you two will conceive. I don't care what it takes."
