a few days ago, still at the restaurant
»You know, Maya and Sadie are figuring out how to get us together.« I laugh and look at Joe.
»I thought so.« He smiles at me. »They've been acting a little weird lately.«
I laughed and almost got lost in his gorgeous eyes. Joe put his hand on my thigh and stroked my skin with his thumb.
»Let me take you on a date.« He looks at me. »Just us, no Sadie or Maya.«
»I'd love that.« I tilt my head slightly and smile at Joseph. »And let's not tell anyone.«
»So that they keep trying to figure out how to get us together while in the meantime we're actually dating?« He grins at me, his eyebrow raised ever so slightly.
»That sounds like fun.« I chuckle.

Joseph offered to pay for both mine and his food and the drinks, but I didn't let him. We agreed on me paying the drinks and him paying the food. He walked me home and once we arrived at my apartment building we looked at each other. With shy smiles on both our faces I wrapped my arms around Joe. He hugged me back tightly, his face buried in the crook of my neck. I pulled back and looked him in the eyes once again before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.
»Thank you.« I smile at him.
»What for?« He asks.
»For walking me home.« I say. »And for an amazing night.«
»I enjoyed it as well.« He smiles back at me.
