The sun was setting in the distance as Jean's sailboat glided gently across the coast toward LeHarve. All the while, Nadia was quiet, staring off at the horizon. Jean tried to engage her in a conversation.

JEAN: Nadia, if you could fly away...

NADIA: Huh?

JEAN: If you could really fly to any place, where would you want to go?

NADIA: I would want to go to the country where I was born.

JEAN: And so which country would that be?

NADIA: I don't know.

JEAN: Really? You forgot?

NADIA: Oh no... I've never known.

Prancing to Nadia's side, King let out a little growl.

KING: (Growl)

NADIA: Yes, King. He thinks that I was born in Africa, and I have a feeling he could be right.

KING: (Acknowledging Growl)

NADIA: But it's so far away, and it's... too large to find one place.

JEAN: Africa? That is far.

Without warning, the three of them spotted something approaching from the distance. Grabbing his binoculars, Jean took a look.

JEAN: Amazing! It's an iron clad ship! And it looks familiar...

KING: (Growling)

NADIA: (Gasping) They've come after us!

Nadia was right—it was the Grandis gang's tank, skimming across the waves like a watercraft. Once more, Nadia's Blue Water began to flash!

NADIA: I knew it!

JEAN: Ah, a ship that floats and flies! What an incredible invention!

NADIA: But we still have to get away from it!

JEAN: Oh, right.

NADIA: A sailboat can't outrun that!

JEAN: Just watch this!

Jean started the motor, and the sailboat gained speed. But the Grandis gang's tank also boosted its engines—catching up with Jean's vessel in no time! Extending its metallic arms, the tank snatched the sailboat from behind, jolting it to a stop. Opening the hatch, Grandis shouted at the children.

GRANDIS: We've got you now! This silly game is over, so just give up now!

NADIA: Now what?!

JEAN: Don't you worry! I have a big surprise for them.

NADIA: Huh?

KING: (Questioning Growl)

Jean grabbed another lever and pulled it.

JEAN: Jettison aft!

Then, before Nadia's surprised eyes, the boat restructed itself! The mast lowered and a pair of metallic hydrofoils stretched out from the boat's underside!

JEAN: Welcome to the Emeraude Hydrofoil Part II!

Detaching its rear, Jean's newly configured sailboat zoomed across the ocean, escaping their pursuers effortlessly! Grandis, Sanson, and Hanson stared after the altered craft, stunned.

JEAN: That iron ship is too weighted down to catch up with us at this point. The foils lift the ship up which lowers the water resistance. And that's the secret behind its great speed!
