A short time later, the Nautilus was eagerly pursuing their enemy underwater.
SONAR OFFICER: Sir, I've detected an unidentified ship at two o'clock.
CHIEF ENGINEER: We caught them at last.
ELECTRA: Yes. It has to be the Garfish.
CHIEF ENGINEER: Right. There's no other ship in all the world besides ours that can operate at these depths.
SONAR OFFICER: They may be able to dive like us, but that is where the comparisons end!
ELECTRA: Shall we pursue them, captain?
CAPTAIN NEMO: Of course! Alter bearing to two o'clock, and full speed ahead!
FIRST HELMSMAN: Aye aye, Captain.
CAPTAIN NEMO: All hands report to Level Two battle positions!
ELECTRA: All hands report to Level Two battle positions!
As Electra's announcement echoed through the Nautilus, Jean and a very angry Nadia, confined to their cabin, sat on the bottom bunk as Marie and King played on the floor.
ELECTRA ON INTERCOM: I repeat, all hands to Level Two battle positions! All non-combatants must report to Block Three Shelters!
MARIE: (Giggling Underneath Electra's Announcement & Throughout As She Plays With King)
KING: (Playful Growling Underneath Electra's Announcement & Throughout As Marie Plays With Him)
NADIA: (Sarcastic) Good! Another chance to kill!
JEAN: But Nadia, this time they might be going after Gargoyle and his assassins.
NADIA: What's the difference?! He's a murderer too! Despicable!
JEAN: Yes, but...
NADIA: THERE'S NO EXCUSE! He murdered that man in cold blood! I don't care what his reasons were!
MARIE: (Gasping; Moaning Sounds Underneath)
JEAN: But... that soldier had his rifle pointed right at you! He'd have killed you if the captain didn't act!
NADIA: I would rather have died myself than witness his butchery!
JEAN: That doesn't make sense, Nadia!
Just then, Marie fell to the floor in a faint. Jean and Nadia quickly rushed her to Medical Bay. Hearing the news, Sanson and Hanson followed.
SANSON: Doctor! Marie! Is she... is she going to be all right?!
DOCTOR: Hmm...
SANSON: TELL ME WHAT HER CONDITION IS NOW!
DOCTOR: It is a rare tropical fever.
JEAN, NADIA, & HANSON (TOGETHER): A TROPICAL FEVER?!
SANSON: I don't care what the name of the disease is, Doctor! She will recover, right?!
DOCTOR: Well... that is hard to say.
SANSON: What?! You mean she...?! WHY DON'T YOU GIVE HER SOME OF YOUR ADVANCED MIRACLE MEDICINE AND MAKE HER WELL AGAIN?!
DOCTOR: I said it was very rare, didn't I? We don't have the antidote.
SANSON: (Beginning To Cry) But you... must have... Marie... she... Listen, Hanson!
HANSON: Huh?
SANSON: YOU AND YOUR BLESSED SCIENCE MUST BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING FOR HER, CAN'T YOU?!
HANSON: But I know nothing about medicine.
