Somewhere deep beneath the floating island, an entranced Nadia found herself in a void of darkness.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) Where am I?
A metallic voice boomed from the shadows.
RED NOAH: THIS IS THE SATELLITE CITY, RED NOAH.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) Red Noah?
RED NOAH: WELCOME, RIGHTFUL HEIR OF THE TORIS MEGISTOS, PRINCESS NADIA.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) Me?
RED NOAH: WE HAVE AWAITED YOUR ARRIVAL SO THAT WE MAY HAND DOWN THE HISTORY OF ATLANTIS TO YOU.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) But who are you?
RED NOAH: CREATIONS OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE M78 NEBULA.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) The M78 Nebula?
RED NOAH: THE M78 NEBULA IS 277.5 LIGHT-YEARS FROM THE EARTH'S SOLAR SYSTEM. THE PEOPLE OF ATLANTIS MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON THE EARTH 2,400,000 YEARS AGO. THE ATLANTEANS WERE FORCED TO LIVE ON EARTH, FOR THEY WERE UNABLE TO RETURN TO THEIR OWN STAR. HERE, THEY CREATED AS POWERFUL A CIVILIZATION AS THEY COULD. THEY DID SO TO BANISH THE DARKNESS FROM THIS UNTAMED PLANET. BUT IN SO DOING, THEY MADE AN UNFORTUNATE ERROR. THEY USED THEIR TECHNOLOGICAL MARVELS TO WAGE HOLY WARS. AS A RESULT, THEIR GREAT CITIES WERE REDUCED TO DESOLATION. AFTERWARDS, THE FEW SURVIVORS OF ATLANTIS BUILT A NEW CIVILIZATION ON THE CONTINENT OF PANGAEA. THAT CIVILIZATION WAS ONCE AGAIN DESTROYED BY THE HUNGER FOR WAR! YOU HAVE THE POWER OF THE TORIS MEGISTOS.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) Toris Megistos?
RED NOAH: YOU SEE, NADIA, THE BLUE WATER WAS ONCE CALLED THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) Does this stone contain such awesome power?
RED NOAH: THAT I CANNOT SAY. THE RIGHTFUL POSSESSOR OF THE TORIS MEGISTOS CAN EITHER BE GOD OR DEVIL, OR THEY WILL KNOW OF THE BEGINNING OF ALL LIFE.
NADIA: (In Mind Talk) And I have inherited this power?
RED NOAH: YES. YOU ARE NOT A HUMAN BEING. YOU ARE THE HEIR OF THE ATLANTEAN DYNASTY OF THE M78 NEBULA.
NADIA: (To Herself) I am not a human being...? I am... an Atlantean?!
As Nadia's mind reeled over this revelation, the darkness around her dissipated, revealing a massive circular chamber. Rows of exotic shapes glowed from the walls with an eerie aqua light. In the center of the chamber was an enormous pyramid crowned by a throne. Still entranced, Nadia sat on the throne as the mysterious voice continued to communicate with her.
RED NOAH: RED NOAH HAS AWAITED YOUR ARRIVAL WITH GREAT URGENCY.
