"hello" ?

" hey Joce, where were you today?" Jemals worried voice said on the other end.

" Look Jemal I was feeling sick,that's all" I didn't mean to sound so irritated but I knew from this moment things would change. Haley knew my secret, and could ruin Jemal and I's friendship in an instant. I debated on whether or not to tell him what happend right then, But of course I decided against it. I was keeping the fact Haley was most likely going to blackmail me from Jemal, which meant more secrets. That bitch.

"Oh.." he said detecting the tone In my voice. " want me to stop by and bring you anything? "

"No ill be fine" I whispered into the phone receiver. my heart sank at his words. The fact he was so worried about me gave me mixed emotions.. guilt..regret..and oddly hope.

"Alright I geuss ill see you tomorrow, bye Joce"

And I hung up. I couldn't even muster the strength to say bye. I swear these days I had turned into such a coward.

A few hours later Jordan was over my house, scheming on how to get out of out current situation. We were watching criminal minds because she swore we needed to think in the mind of a criminal.

"I still think one of us should sneak into her house and trash her room, that would scare her for sure" Jordam suggested popping a piece of white cheddar popcorn I'm her mouth.

"Or it will make her call the cops" I replied bitterly.

"Your right..what if we put peanut butter In her bra while she's in gym"

"Jordan, that would probably help her! She would just try to rub up on Jemal more"

"eeewh" Jordan shuttered " your right"

I let out a long sigh. "I have to do whatever she says. For the sake of me and jemal's friendship I have to atleast try to work this out. I mean what's the worst that could happen?"

" She gets Jemal and you regret it for the rest of your life"

"Gee thanks, why did I invite you over my house again"

"sorry"

All of a sudden there was a knock on my door and my mom popped her head in. "I ordered pizza girls" My mom said in a sing songy voice.

"Thanks mom, oh and can Jordan stay the night?

"Is it okay with your mom? " She asked facing Jordan

"Yeah she texted me and said it was cool"

"Alright but I don't want you girls staying up to late,it is a school night " My mom told us. Even though my mom warned us I knew she probably wouldn't care how late we stayed up. When she left the room I turned up the volume to criminal minds.

"So what are you going to do?" Jordan asked for what seemed like the 5Oth time.

"Let things play out" was my only answer. And then I shut off my light and closed my eyes.

Jordan and I were walking down the street and she suggested we walk past Jemal's house . When we did I looked up at it to see Jemal :and Haley making out and gropeing each other. Haley looked deeply into Jemal's eyes and said the three life changing words.. I.love.you. To make matters worst? He said it back..

*RIIIINNNNNG * My alarm clock went off jolting me upright in my bed. I hit it quickly and then took in my surroundings. It was morning and me and Jordan were still in my room. Must have been a dream, I said to myself. More like a nightmare I thought outloud. I looked over at Jordan to see her still knocked out snoring loudly. A volcano could errupt and this girl would still be peacefully sleeping. I decided to hop in the shower nudging Jordan awake on the way. The shower took over me, the warm water hitting my face erasing all thoughts pondering my mind momentarily.

An hour later we were in the car on our way to LaQueen High. When we pulled up , before we got out the car Jordan gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Today will be fine" she told me " I will be by your side all day don't worry."

"Okay" I said with a sigh and a smile.

Lets get this day over with.
