This is a little bit of an educational episode I guess, so if you don't understand the term I will have probably put the definition in the comments. If not then L, search google ig.

Ben's Pov:

"So... you like Gray?" Alex mused, smirking.

I paused for a moment, not exactly sure what the answer to that question was. Then, skipping over the previous thought, I found myself unsure of what I'd rather the answer be. He was... a lot. In a good way! He's, a lot of, something. And its not that I'm nothing, because I'm not. I'm a different type of something, and that's okay.

That didn't make sense.

"I don't think so?" I replied, though it came out as more of a question, to myself that is. Not Alex. Me and Gray are different, and I know 'opposites attract' or whatever, but there has to be some level of similarity despite that.

"I think you do." Alex stated firmly, and for a moment his confidence in the subject nearly swayed me.

It's weird, I don't get butterflies every time I see him, I'm not completely infatuated with everything he does, I don't get jealous every time I see him talking to someone else. If this is a crush then the movies lied. Of course I'm happy to see him all the time, but I don't always flush and duck my head out of embarrassment, unable to form sentences. Some times, what he's doing is entirely boring, and knowing Gray like I do, he'd rather me leave him be as his eyes blankly scan pages and pages of information and as he clicks his nails together, when something doesn't line up, making a little sound.

"I don't know." I sighed, completely unfazed by the thought of Gray, no butterflies, no giggles, nothing. So you may ask, why does anyone even think you have a crush if you exhibit none of the symptoms?

I'll admit, my eyes wander, though always settle on him. As he sits somewhat puzzled with a problem, pressuring his lips into a line and then pursing them; which I've noticed is a habit of his. Whenever his eyes, peak from atop a book and, lock on mine as he sits with his face half hidden behind, it sends my heart racing. Though only a few situations would cause this reaction. Most of which, I now realize, have to do with the little adorable confused emotions he shows whenever he can't solve something, be it math problem or real-life scenario.

"Well you better figure it out."

I raised an eyebrow in response.

"Because of the trip, you know?"

Oh, Rowan had invited us all to go together to his grandparent's farm to spend the night, as a fun group experience of sorts. Of course, we'd all agreed, since it did sound like fun. We'd be leaving tomorrow as a matter of fact. Gerard would drive, and occasionally switch with me, and, as of now, nobody else's seat were set in stone.

"Eh," I shrugged it off, "You know me Alex. Nothing will bother me too long." I hope, nothing will bother me too long, I really hope.

...

...

...

"Where are they?" I asked Alex, this was the location we'd decided on for our meet up to pick seating and such.

Alex shrugged in response, taking a seat on the bench outside of the café that, after much debate, was chosen to be the sacred spot to meet. I settled beside him, fidgeting with my phone blankly. Within the minute, I'd received an elbow to the side, coming from Alex of course. A gesture he'd become accustom to using to get my attention.

This time it was used to direct my attention towards the approaching group of boys walking towards us. Gerard, Teddy, Eugene, and Rowan... but no Gray? I can't help but wonder what stopped the small and, usually quite, punctual boy from being early.
