Chapter 5

~Bella's POV~

     I was sitting out on the balcony under the moon reading through one of the many books Eleanor had. This one was more on the darker side of magic and it was making me slightly nauseous just reading it. I couldn't focus on the book regardless as my mind kept replaying the time Charlie found me after being missing for three years.

///FLASHBACK///

     I gasped as a terrible pain ran through my chest and sent me tumbling to the ground behind the Cullen's house. I gripped my chest as Charlie's voice got fainter until the pain suddenly stopped and everyone was shouting at me.

"Enough!" I yelled out to everyone and it was finally quiet. I sighed in relief and stood up to face everyone. I heard a few sharp intakes of breath and arched one eyebrow. I hummed as a song popped into my head and walked slowly around everyone. As I completed a full circle they all were in a daze as they turned around to continue the search for the missing girl. I walked into the Cullen's house, I continued humming until they were out of sight. I headed straight up to Edward's room and saw it was completely bare. I searched throughout the rest of the house until a note caught my attention; walking across Alice's room I plucked it up from her bed.

'Bella, I know you'll see this and wonder what happened but I cannot tell you. Bad things will happen if you were to know now. Keep traveling and find yourselve.'

She was definitely cryptic but she misspelled the last word on purpose. There are more people like me and I needed to find them. I dropped the note and let it burn so that no one else could read it. Thank you, Alice.

"Bella?" I turned around and saw Sarah in the doorway shaking. I hurried over to her and pulled her towards my bed.

"It wasn't real, you know that." She always has nightmares after a bad experience and we could never really help stop them. I ran my fingers through her hair and hummed a lullaby to get her back to sleep. She struggled a little but she soon fell into a peaceful slumber. I held onto her and let myself get pulled into her dreams to maybe keep the nightmares away.

Come on Ella! I heard as I walked through the forest into a small clearing. I smiled as I could pick out Sarah playing with an old friend of hers. Maybe she's having memories resurfacing after what happened. Another giggle to my left was heard and I smiled at the little girl as she also looked at me.

"Will you play with me?" I nodded as she pulled me around the clearing. I had surprised her by picking her up and swinging her around when she gasped at something behind me. I held onto her and turned around to see Edward but he had bold red eyes and blood dribbling down his chin. He was holding onto the other girl that she was playing with and her eyes were glazed over in fear.

"You have no reason to be here demon. Begone!" I shot my hand out towards him and vines wrapped around his frame. He chuckled as he easily walked out of them and towards me with a psychotic smile. I quickly closed my eyes and forced us awake as a growl could be heard through both of our minds.

I was gasping for breath as I woke up fully and Sarah was doing the same.

"Was that?" I nodded but I couldn't look at her. Why was a demon dressing up as Edward in her dreams? I felt her touch my arm and I moved enough for her to manuvear herself around my frame.

"Do you think it might've been her?" I hummed slightly as I thought about it.

"Possibly. I need to find her first." She just nodded and cuddled into me. I felt more of her weight and knew she had fallen asleep again. If that demon was dressing up as Edward then we were in my head. I kept myself awake through the night and only moved when the sun was rising above the horizon. I moved out of the room and went to look for Aro. I found him in his study and he motioned me inside.

"Isabella, what may I do for you?" I gave him a small smile and sat across from him.

"I need to know where the Cullens are." He chuckled a little then noticed I was serious. He cleared his throat and stood up.

"I will have to call them as they didn't tell me exactly where they were going." He fiddled with his books on the shelf nervously.

"You're lying. You know exactly where they are. Tell me." I had Aro pinned to the wall towards the end of my sentence and he was staring at me wideeyed.

"Okay, okay. They are at an island Carlisle bought a while ago; Isle Esme. It's just off the coast of Brazil." I looked through his memories and found when he talked to Carlisle after he bought the island. I opened my eyes and they reflected gold against his red ones.

"I know exactly where they are now. Thank you for your help." I let go of him and he crumbled to the floor.

"I don't like being lied to Aro, I get mean when that happens." He nodded his head as I walked away to talk with Sarah. I hurried back to my room and saw she was brushing her hair at the vanity.

"I have to go. I don't know if you'd want to go with me cause I don't want you to get hurt." She smiled at me in the mirror and turned around.

"I am not staying alone. I don't trust the Volturi so wherever you go, I go." I sighed and went to the suitcase to finish packing. I heard her snap her fingers and everything was packed instantly. I then noticed she had changed her appearance also. I snapped my fingers and my hair was in a french braid down my back. I took her hands after she shrunk out belongings and imagined the island vividly in my mind. I felt something snap and gritted my teeth together to keep the spell going. I could feel the wind die down and it got brighter as we let go of each other. I stumbled back and cried out in pain from my leg getting injured in the spell.

"Bella, you idot." Sarah was above me trying to elevate my leg to stop the blood from flowing out of the injury. I was gasping for breath when something shiny could be seen from down the beach.

"Carlisle." I breathed out as I passed out from the pain.
