Oh yes, we all know the feeling. You have a great story idea, and you can't begin to think what should happen. Or you have the urge to write, but you can't think at all. This has happened to me a few times, and I've come up with strategies on how to get your creativity flowing again.
1. Be out in nature. Whether that means taking a hike or sitting on your front porch, I find nature anywhere to be inspiring.
2. Let your mind wander. Maybe if you let your thoughts drift, an idea can come up from the depths of your imagination.
3. Draw a picture. Your character you draw can give you inspiration for a whole story sometimes.
4. Look up pictures on the Internet. Look up mostly anime/manga, because I find those pictures to be the most inspiring. I actually did get story inspiration from a picture on the web.
5. Go somewhere else outside of your home. You can take a walk around your neighborhood, or go shopping. This could help clear your head, and give you inspiration.
6. Start to write anything. Just any thought that comes floating through your mind, and make a fictional story about it.
7. Listen to music. Some music can be very inspiring to you, and a story could come out of it.
Hoped these helped!
