Imagery is defined as a very detailed description. In my opinion, imagery is what makes a story even more interesting. It gives your imagination a chance to go wild; a place where anything is possible. When describing something, don't use boring word choices, for example, describing color. Instead of describing a girl's hair color as "black", describe it instead like "a dark shade of midnight". Don't worry if your description of something takes pages, because that shows how important it is to your story. But again with the fancy word choices: don't use a word you don't know. Chances are you'll use it incorrectly. Also include a lot of figurative language, such as similes, metaphors, and hyperboles.
