It's the fourth day, 3 left to go. It's a hot morning, the sun was fierce. Today, as I was planting new flowers into the soil, one of the maid came running and called for me. In her hand was a letter addressed to 'Jack Moore's partner/spouse.'Spouse? I thought only Jack's family knew about our marriage. I took off the glove and tear open the envelope carefully. Written on the letter was
"Dear Moore's spouse/partner, it's our greatest regret that we had to inform your family that there had been a big accident during the business trip.
As you were well informed, the trip supposed to only take a week top for both party to exchanged/expanded their business to the neighbouring country.
Unfortunately, during the last rainy night on the sea, a sudden storm had greatly capsized the ship. Search rescues had been sent for more than 12 hours, sadly most of the people on the ship had sunk with it. Few bodies had been sent to the hospital for their family to receive.
Survivors are sent to the hospital too for further treatments.
Our deepest condolences , Mr Jack Moore's body were floating around with Mr Joseph on a broken door. Mr Joseph was barely alive but still holding on to Mr Moore's. Mr Liam wasn't nearby nor anywhere else.May your family stay strong."
I dropped to the ground, the maids came holding me and fanning me. I couldn't believe this. Just five days ago, I was talking to Jack and Liam around this hour of the morning, and now they're gone.
I haven't done anything for the family, how would the kids react to this? It's devastating. They are only 15 and both parents and older siblings left them.
I am in debt to Jack, he had freed me from my slavery and the least I could do was show gratitude with the contract, but his death came too early, they didn't found Liam's body, which probably meant they gave up the search parties.
A big feeling conflicted in my heart, I'm brought to this family with a clear purpose, now both the purpose and the owner passed away. What should I do?
