Adalia POV

"I absolutely hate you." I mutter into my pillow.

"I love you too, now wake your lazy ass up." Ariel hits me again with my pillow. Ariel has been my best friend since 1st grade. I was the new girl and she was my first friend here. Ever since then we just automatically clicked. I have her back and she has mine.

I take the pillow from under my head and wack her in her face. Since she was on the edge of the bed, that resulted in a thud. I throw the blanket off me and turn, letting my feet hang off the bed. Ariel is sprawled out all over the cold floor right near my bed. She sits up and brushes her strawberry blonde hair out of her face. She turns to face me and glare with her big brown eyes. I smile innocently at her.

"You are so rude." She groans getting up on her feet.

"I don't know what your talking about." I say fakely. I get off my bed and walk towards my bathroom. After showering, I dry off and wrap my body in a towel. Walking out, I let my damp hair rest on my shoulders. Ariel stands in the other side of my room inspecting my closet.

"Your closet is a mix between badass and popular crowd." She examines. She turns to me with an evil smirk on her lips. She throws a pair of black high waisted jeans onto my bed. She shuffles over to my drawer and pulls out a short sleeve black crop top that says 'HOES AIN'T SHIT' written right below the collar. She tosses it on the bed and throws her arms up triumphantly.

"Ta-da!" She smiles.

"Ta-da what?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"Your outfit for today." My eyes widen at her response.

"I'll look like a slut."

"You have the body for it. Plus why buy it if you aren't going to wear it." She crosses her arms over chest.

"Point Ariel." I mutter pick up the clothes, inspecting them. She hums and grabs a towel as she walks to the bathroom. I drop my towel on the floor and get dressed. I dry my hair with the towel. Leaving the damp could hand down my back, I grab the leave in conditioner. I decided for a damp look today because honestly I think it looks hotter. After parting my hair in a side part, I brush it before sitting down on my phone.

20 minutes later, Ariel finally comes out the bathroom in black ripped jeans and plain white shirt that hugs her curves.

"So you get to dress normal while I look like I'm going to a club." I assume earning a silent chuckle from her.

"Alright let's go, we're going to be late." She grabs her bag and head downstairs. I grab my phone and stuff in my back pocket. I head downstairs and see that no one's home. It doesn't really surprise me because my parents are rarely ever home. Their always on business trips so I'm mostly home alone. They don't really care what I do as long as I get decent grades.

When we arrive at school, it's the normal hallway chatter. Basic gossip and crap I don't really care about.

"Hey, bae." Alex smirks wrapping his arms around my waist. Me and Alex have sort of a weird relationship. We aren't dating but we've kissed and made out at like parties. I don't think I have any actual feelings for him but I mean it's nice to have someone.

I tap his hand away and he pouts.

"What do you guys have first?" I ask putting my stuff away.

"Chem." Ariel groans."We're doing this project and she's picking our partners."

"Ha." Alex choked.

"Shush." I hit him in his arm with the back of my hand.

"I just hope that I don't get partnered with Asher." She groans.
