Adalia POV

I walk into the dimly lighted room, the music slamming against my ears. I look around immediately searching for the kitchen or a bar of some sort.

Horny and sober. Worst combination.

As my eyes danced across the room, they meet a familiar gaze. They stay for a moment but I break it just as they meet us.

Ariel squeaks beside me and my attention goes to her. She runs over to Jake, wrapping her arms around his neck. He laughs slightly hugging her waist.

"How'd you know?"

"I had a little help." He grins and winks at me.

I finally take a good look at them and I see the Harley and joker duo. Next to him is Blake as a dark angel, Elton as SWAT, Jai as Freddy Krueger, and lastly Asher as Asher.

I guess my gaze lingered on Asher a bit too long because I didn't feel Alex remove his arm from my shoulder and sling it around my waist.

"Well that's cute." Ariel breaks the silence and slips her hand in Jake's and nods toward me before heading away. I turn to Maddy seeing her lost in thought, glancing at someone every so often.

I pull away from Alex and hug her shoulder with one arm and using my hand to cup her ear. "Caught you."

"Thirsty?" I pull my hand away from her ear and ask. She nods, her cheeks flaming.

"Good, Elton go with her. " I smirk towards him. He anxiously rubs the back of his neck before trailing away.

"And then there were 5." Jai smiles slinging his arms over Blake and Asher's shoulder, breaking them from their thoughts.

"Well why don't you two go mingle and I'll catch up with you in a minute." Jai pushes them in the opposite direction of me. Once they leave he brushes past me.

"Aren't you just the main event tonight?" He speaks breathlessly in my ear. You can hear the smirk in his voice.  I turn to look at him and he winks at me before walking away.

"And now there is two." Alex says huskily pulling me towards him.

"Which is probably a sign that I need a drink." I run my fingers through the front of his hair, pushing it back before going to walk away.

"And where do you think you're going?" He brings his face closer, and I run my finger down his jaw, humming contently once his eyes fall shut.

"Away from you because if you're the one around me once I get alcohol in me I will not like the result in the morning." I press my lips against the spot of his jaw where my finger stopped.

"Is that a promise?" He slips his finger in the belt loop of my pants.

"You'd like to think it is." I lower my voice before walking away and heading towards the kitchen.

"Ah, yes." I smile seeing an open bar. I take a seat at the open bar just as the bartender comes over.

We both chuckle to ourselves once making eye contact. I put my elbows on the counter keeping the slight smile on my face.

"Long time no see." He grins.

"I'd say." I do a one over."You grew up nicely."

"What, you didn't expect that from a private school boy." Everett smirks leaning on the bar, looking down at my exposed arms.

"Well no, You were always so nerdy." I fold my fingers together.

"Weren't you sapiosexual, though?" He snaps his eyes back up to my eyes.
