Steve was the average boy, he played sports, had decent grades, good with the ladies to a certain extent, and everyone liked him. His family was rich which made things easier in his life. The bubble he was in fit into his casual routine, change didn't come often in Steve's life.

Steve was laying in bed reading a book that the teacher assigned him a few weeks ago and he'd rather be doing anything else right now. A loud beeping sound caught his attention making him look up from his book. Steve got out of bed to see where the noise is coming from.  He looked out the window and the noise was coming from a moving truck next door.

"Someone's moving in?" Steve asked quietly to himself. The house has been empty for several years and everyone in the neighborhood thought it would be a millions before someone would step foot in there.

Steve watched closely to see who the mystery family could be. He saw a older guy with a button up shirt carrying a box of items into the house. Following him was a boy that was way younger. Long curly black hair, a graphic T-shirt, black jeans, and black boots. He wore rings that had very detailed designs on them that Steve couldn't make out because he was so far away.

Steve has never seen anyone like that before. No one at school didn't dress like that and Steve knew his parents would kill him if he did. The guy carried himself like he didn't care about what anybody thought of him.

After a few minutes Steve looked away from the window. He ran downstairs to find his mom and talk about the new family.

"Mom?" Steve called out to get her attention. She was in the kitchen reading the daily newspaper with her glasses on the top of her nose. Steve sat across from her at the table.

"Did you know a family's moving in next door?" Steve asked as he watched his mom take a sip from her tea cup. She nodded her head and she raised her head from the newspaper.

"Apparently there's a boy your age of there, have you seen him?" Steve's mom asked an innocent question but Steve did more than see him, staring would be the word for it. Steve started turning red just thinking about it.

"Y-yeah I've seen him." Steve stuttered out of embarrassment. Hoping that the heat he was feeling wasn't obvious to his mother.

"You know what, I think you should talk to him. Those other boys your friends with are terrible." Steve's mom always has an opinion on certain choices that he's made especially if it didn't fit her image.

Steve let his comment slide and only thought about her saying that he should talk to the new boy. That wasn't necessarily a bad idea. Also he looked different from everybody else in the small town of Hawkins. Maybe something good would come out if it.
