The next morning, Logan biked to Mike's house before school so that the boys and Stephanie can discuss the plan for after school.

Mike, Stephanie and the three boys were in the basement talking about there plan to go out and find Will again. El was messing with Mike's supercomm. "We just tell our parents we have AV club after school and Steph will pick us up afterwards. That'll give us at least a few hours for Operation Mirkwood." Mike said. "You seriously think the weirdo knows where Will is?" Lucas asked. "Just trust me on this, okay?" Mike insisted. "Okay." Lucas said. "Did you get the supplies?" Mike asked Lucas and Lucas said, "Yeah." Then he grabbed the bag that was under the table they were huddled around. "Binoculars from Nam... Army knife also from Nam... Hammer, camouflage bandana...and the wrist rocket." Lucas said bring out his items. "You're gonna take out the Demogorgon with a slingshot?" Dustin asked. "No no, didn't you hear, Wrist rocket." Logan said pointing to the wrist rocket. "Also the Demogorgon is not real. It's made up. But if there is something out there, I'm going to shoot it in the eye... And blind it." Lucas continued from Logan's sentence. "Dustin what did you get?" Mike asked. Dustin brought out his bag and poured out the contents on the table. There was an assortment of food. Dustin began naming them off, but only to have attitude by Lucas and Mike. "Seriously?" Lucas asked. "We need energy for our travels. For stamina. And besides, why do we even need weapons anyway? We have her." Dustin said pointing to Eleven. "She shut one door." Lucas raised his voice arguing with Dustin. This got El's and Stephanie's attention. "With her mind! Are you kidding me? That's insane! Imagine all the other cool stuff she could do. Like... I bet... that she could make this fly! "Dustin exclaims as he gets a toy from the chair and puts it in front of El. "Hey. Hey. Okay, concentrate. Okay?" Dustin said to El as he proceeded to drop the toy on the floor expecting her to make it fly with her powers. Dustin tried again. "Use your powers, okay?" Dustin asked and dropped the toy but it did the same thing again, just fell. "She's not a dog!" Mike exclaims. "Boys, Stephanie! Time for school!" Karen's voice from upstairs shouted. Stephanie stood up. "I'll buy you some time before mom comes down. Have a good day boys, see you later El." Stephanie said and she left the basement. The boys were putting their things in their backpacks and putting on their jackets before heading upstairs to their bikes. Three of the the four boys walked out of the basement. "Micheal!" Karen shouted. That was the last thing Logan heard before walking out of the house.

During recess, Logan, Mike, Lucas and Dustin were looking for rocks for Lucas's wrist rocket. "How about this one?" Mike asked walking up to Dustin, catching Logan's attention. "It's too big for the sling." Dustin said dropping the rock. The boys continued to look for rocks. "So, do you think Eleven was born with her powers, like the X-Men or acquired them, like Green Lantern?" Logan asked looking around for the perfect rock. "She not a superhero, She's a weirdo." Lucas said grabbing a rock only to throw it back on the ground. "Why does that matter? The X-Men are weirdos." Mike defended. "If you love her so much, then why don't you marry her?" Lucas teased. "What are you talking about?" Mike asked. "Mike seriously?" Lucas deadpanned. "What?" Mike asked. "You look at her all, like...'Hi, El! El! El! El! I love you so much! Will you marry me?" Lucas exclaimed getting down on his knee. "Shut up, Lucas." Mike said getting tired of it. Logan and Dustin were smiling. "Yeah, shut up, Lucas. What are you losers doing back here?" Troy said coming up to the four boys. Logan's smile dropped instantly when he saw Troy. "Probably looking for there missing friend." James said. "That's not funny. He could be in danger. This is serious." Dustin said. "I hate to break it to you, toothless but he's not in danger. He's dead. That's what my dad says." Troy said. But Logan could not hear anything else he said. Logan lunged for Troy but got held back by Lucas. "Take that back! He's not dead, we're gonna find him you asshole! You watch!" Logan said trying to get to Troy. Troy and James just laughed. "Come on. Ignore them." Mike said. The four boys walking away from them but Troy had to trip Mike. This action set off Logan. This time Lucas didn't make it to Logan in time. Logan ran up to Troy and tackled him to the ground. James was trying to help Troy by getting Logan off of him but Logan didn't budge. Only pushing James off of him, to continue hitting Troy. Troy had a bruised eye and cut lip. Dustin pulled Logan off of Troy and the two ass holes walked away. Probably went to go tell a teacher what happened but Logan didn't care at the moment, Logan just wanted to protect his friends. Troy was pushing him to do what he did. Logan always got told to protect others, and if you start a fight you better finish it. "You alright Mike?" Logan asked walking to Mike. Mike was touching his chin. "Yeah, thank you, Logan." Mike said looking at Logan. "Hey. How about this one." Dustin said picking up a rock handing it to Lucas. "Oh yeah, this is the monster killer!" After recess, Logan got called into the principal's office. His mom and dad were in the office as well. The principal was asking him questions about why he did it and Logan answered all his questions truthfully. Logan did get in trouble by the principal for beating up Troy, but Logan didn't feel any remorse. He only said, "He deserved it." This surprised his mother because Logan has never done anything like this. "Suspension for the rest of the week." The principal said as he stood up. Marissa and James stood up and walked out the door with their son. On the drive home his mom asked, "Why did you hit him? This is not like you Logan." Logan looked at his mom. "He said that Will was dead. And more things that are not okay to say. Then he tripped Mike. So I lunged at him and hit him. I was only trying to protect my friends from a bully." Logan said looking out the window. "I get it, and you did the very thing we told you to do, and we are proud of you for sticking up for your friends, and we are not grounding you, suspension is enough. But just be more careful." James said looking in the rearview mirror to his son. Logan nodded.

Logan knew he was going to have a hard time getting out of the house so he just decided to stay home. He told Dustin on his Supercomm that he wasn't going due to what happened earlier. The boys understood.

Logan was in his room when he got called for dinner. Logan walked downstairs and sat next to Evan. "Did you really beat up a kid today?" Jamie asked eating. Logan nodded. "Cool!" Evan said.

After dinner, Logan was doing his homework in his room, when he heard a knock on his door. "Come in." Logan said turning his attention to his door. The door opened and it showed his mother and father. The mom had tears streaming down her cheeks. "What happened?" Logan asked. His parents sat on his bed. Marissa motioned for him to sit next to her. "They found Will." Marissa said. "Why are you crying if they found him." Logan said not understanding what his mom meant. "Logan, they found his body at the Quarry. I'm sorry buddy." James said looking at his son. Logan's eyes watered immediately. "But..." Logan said through his tears. James pulled his son into a hug. Marissa joined in as well. Logan was whimpering and sobbing, he was have trouble keeping his breathing stable. Marissa left the room to attend to Chris. James played down on his bed while his dad sat on his bed. Logan cried into his pillow. James was rubbing his son's shoulder.
