"Kid, just remember to take it easy. Take the pills they prescribed and just relax. At least this week" hopper said with a concerned state. His hand patting Steve's shoulder. Steve had been prescribed pain killers and tons of different anxiety pills that were supposed to help him with the nightmares and all the crap messing with his brain. He told everyone that the reason for the nightmares were because of the earlier attacks from the horrid demogorgon, demo-dogs, and the mind flayer (this takes place before vecna/one.../Henry) and half of the reason was because of those creatures but also because he kept seeing visions....Not exactly good visions.
He kept seeing a certain someone he clawed at by a strange creature making that someone die in a puddle of their own blood.
And to Steve's surprise that one and only someone was Billy. Bulky Hargrove.
He had nightmares over and over and over about the mind flayer transforming into a solid form and possessing over billy. Everyone knew that they had gotten the Mind flayer out of Will. And El had closed the gate so it would be impossible for any of that to happen right?
That's what Steve told himself everyday. It won't happen. It won't happen. It can't happen. Steve had never gotten along with Billy. Even if he babysat Max. He just never had the time to talk to Billy at all. Not like he wanted to. Billy looked angry most of the time. And when Billy was angry he looked carnal and animal like. Ready to throw a punch at anyone in his way.
Though Steve would be lying if he didn't say Billy was attractive because In total honesty he was. Billy was attractive... what a surprise. But even the thought of such an unknown person being stabbed to death by a terrifying creature haunted him. Which is why he was prescribed with anxiety pills and antidepressant pills all to calm him down. He was going to be staying with hopper for a while. Which wasn't too bad. At least he would have the little kiddo El. He babysat her too so he had some familiar company. Hopper was just about to leave for the day and thought it'd be best if he reminded Steve daily about his medications just to make sure. He took them. So there Hopper stood waiting for Steve to swallow the pills with water. "Just take care of El and make yourself at home. Help yourself to anything" hopper quickly mutters before placing his hat on and driving off to his work. (You know, actually this'll just take all before season 4) Steve had quickly swallowed his pills and headed out to the kitchen to make himself something to eat as well as for El.
El was wide awake by now, waiting for her breakfast. "What is for breakfast?" She says even though she already knew it would be what she always asked. Eggos (of course because there's no other option) Steve didn't even need to answer "you know what's for breakfast, El. Don't pretend" he says shaking his head as he starts to take out the frozen waffles before placing them in the toaster waiting patiently.
//------//
El had her Eggos doused in syrup. And Steve would too but he'd rather give the syrup to El. He was happily eating when suddenly El spoke up "can Mike come over?" Steve laughs slightly "I'm not Hopper, El. Im not going to say no" he says shaking his head to himself in amusement.
"And will?" El asks.
"Sure" Steve quickly replies taking another bite from his waffles
"And Dustin?" El asks again
"Hell yeah" Steve chuckles through a mouthful of waffles
"And Max?" El says with a small growing smile "the whole party, El. Go ahead, bring the whole party. We can go pick them up after breakfast. That sound like a plan?" He says starting to eat faster. El quickly nods "yes" she simply says and they quickly finish their plates.
(Im a sucker for harringrove trash. Also I kind of gave up on my story so the next option was fanfiction so here I am. I'm mostly doing this for me because writing and reading fanfic is... sadly my life. So going my adventure of fanfiction trash! :)
