Billy furrowed his eyebrows and glanced over at Max. The car a steady speed following right behind Steve's. "This ain't the way to Steve's, is it?" he mutters towards Max. Max looks up and stared at the back of Steve's car. Oh, how she would like to be in there with her friends instead of being stuck inside the car of her brother douchebag Billy. She shrugged. "Answer me" Billy simply says sternly. "No. No this isn't the way to his house." Billy stays silent. Well, certainly Steve wouldn't be taking them anywhere bad. So, Billy stays put and simply follows

Soon enough Steve finally pulled up to a small convenience store and quickly turned around to face all the kids. Stay together and don't wander off without a buddy. I'm not planning on losing any of you little shits so stay together you hear me?" he waits for the small series of nods that came from the group. "Alright come on" he gets out of the car and waits for the crowd of kids to pile out from his car. God how did he even fit all the kids in his car...
"What're we doing here?" Billy says from behind Steve making him jump. He turns around to find a standing Billy with his arm draped over the hood of his car. "Oh, uh, we were thinking on having a movie night. Usually, they play their little game but uh, they didn't have a campaign planned out yet and we showed up unexpectedly and so-" "I asked why we're here Steve not your whole day routine." Billy interrupts. Rude, Steve thinks. "We came here to grab snacks for the movie night" he says with a sigh looking over at the group of kids staring at him expectedly. Steve waves at them over to the store and they immediately head out.
"Can Max come too?" Steve hears a quiet voice from behind him and finds Eleven standing behind him not leaving just yet. Steve looks at Billy with hopeful eyes. Billy looks over through the door window finding a peeking Max sitting silently. He simply pats the car and almost immediately Max steps out and walks over to El. "Come on" Max says, grabbing El's wrist and pulling her inside the convenience store where the group was already picking out snacks for their little movie night.
Steve awkwardly glanced up at Billy who was just standing there, watching Steve. Without another word Steve starts to leave when he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder that quickly shoves his back against his car. "What's got you all jittery, pretty boy?" Billy smirked at Steve. Of course, Billy would be thinking that he was the reason behind Steve's uneasiness. And he wasn't wrong but not because of Billy's closeness and undeniable attractive looks. It was because of the sudden flashes of what happened to Billy in Steve's visions. And no matter how much he tried to shake it off he couldn't. "Is it me?" Billy says with the same sly grin. In any other situation Steve would've been melting under Billy's eyes. But to Billy's surprise, instead of seeing the eyes of the boy in front of him fill with the same shyness that had filled them before, he finds them filling with fear and... slight anger? Steve huffs and budges himself out of Billy's grasp.
Stupid Billy, he thought. Now even more than ever he couldn't tell Billy about his nightmares and visions. Of course not. Billy would think Steve was crazy. An insane, traumatized boy. The waves of thoughts filled Steve's mind not being able to let Steve hear Billy calling out to him. He enters the convenience store finding everyone grabbing snacks. Small pastries, candy, chips, everything. Steve sighs. Worst part is?
Steve has to pay of course.
Steve takes out his wallet and winces as he looks back up at the kids carrying their piles of snacks and drinks to the cashier. He looks over at Dustin, Dustin's arms filled with snacks. Behind him walked El who's arms were filled with sugary drinks. "Everyone hurry up!" He yells out to all the kids who start running around gathering their last items and heading to the cashier. Steve shakes his head and places his hands on his hips. He was surely to go bankrupt after this. His little job at family video would definitely not heal up this wound to his wallet nicely. He slightly jumps when he hears the small bell jingle making it known someone just entered. He looked behind him and found a snickering Billy staring at Steve's standing figure. Billy found it amusing how Steve's hands rested on his hips while watching the kids scatter around. Though quickly Steve walks away from Billy and up to the cashier. Making it look like he was being called by one of the kids.
And soon enough the kids were walking out happily with bags full of snacks as they were now heading to Hop's cabin. Max was just about to squish inside of Steve's now cramped car when she hears a sharp whistle making her snap her head up towards the noise. "C'mere" Billy says tapping his car. Max stays silent before slamming the door shut and walking over to Billy. Her hand weighed down by a small bag that carried loads of candy.
without choice, Steve starts to drive off to the cabin with Billy following like a plague. No matter how much Steve suddenly sped up or slowed unbearably slow he just couldn't lose Billy. This not only made Steve slightly panicked but also angry. Why was Billy so pushy about bringing Max to Hop's cabin? He used to not give a shit where Max went and all of a sudden, he's driving her everywhere she goes?
"Don't tell me you're mad because we spent all your cash" Dustin perked up from the backseats. Steve looks over at Dustin from the rear-view window. "Well, that's half of the reason" He sighs and before Dustin could push off he glares at him "And don't think I'm going to tell you why I'm mad, keep talking to your friends" Steve waved him off as they started to go further into the forest.
Billy looked at Max again. "Where the... Where the hell are we going?" He mutters as he watches the green forest come into view. Max looks up at him. "Steve lives in El's house now" She simply states. Billy furrowed his eyebrows in confusion "Why?" Max groans frustratingly "Why don't you ask him when we get there?" She murmurs looking up at Billy. Normally Billy would've cussed out Max but now the thought on his mind was Steve. Why was he living in Hopper's cabin out of all places?
