Chapter 14

Y/n: Dad?
He turned around and looked at me for a second. He looked normal, He looked like himself again.
Dad: Y/n?
Y/n: Hey dad. My voice broke a little.
Dad: Oh y/n where have you been?
My dad ran up to me and pulled me in for a hug. I freaked out and pulled away from the hug.
Dad: Oh sorry sweetheart. I'm just so happy to see you.
Y/n: Are you ok?
Dad: I'm great!
Y/n: Your acting different, What changed?
Dad: Well after you left I realized I need to get my act together and I slowly stopped drinking. I still do occasionally but not as bad as I did.
Y/n: You stoped?
Dad: Yep, I feel so much better now!
Y/n: Because of me, Or because of something else?
Dad: Because of you and because I had a dream of your mom.
Y/n: Wow, So you back to your old self again.
Dad: Yeah, So where have you been?
Y/n: Staying with a friend.
Dad: Okay, I have missed you!
Y/n: I wish I could same the same.
Dad: I owe you an apology, I am so sorry y/n. I really didn't mean to hurt you the way I have. After your mother left I have been dealing with mourning her in the worst possible ways. She was my life, My everything and not being able to see her anymore is the worst feeling in the world. And I took it all out on you. Again I am so sorry and I don't expect you to forgive me right away but I hope I can earn your trust back over time.
Y/n: Maybe one day.
Dad: I love you y/n.
Y/n: I love you to dad. I hope you find someone who can show you what love feels like after everything.
I turned around and left with tears in my eyes. I couldn't believe what just happened. I felt sadness and relief at the same time. He apologized, That's all I have ever wanted. Now it's time to go back to Eddie.

I walked to Dustin's house and seen Eddie's van there. I forgot they had the D&D thing tonight. I walked up the the door and rang the doorbell. The door opened and it was Dustin's mom.
Dustin's mom: Hey Y/n, Are you here for the boys?
Y/n: Yeah, I am.
Dustin's mom: They are in the basement. Can you do me a favor and bring these snacks down with you.
Y/n: Sure!
I grabbed the snacks and made my way the the basement. I watched at everyone's eyes lit up as they saw me. I couldn't tell if it was because of the snacks I was holding or because it was me. As Eddie realized it was me he jumped out of his chair, Almost falling and came to hug me.
Eddie: Where were you? I was so worried!
Y/n: I went to a pond and found a duck angel.
Eddie looked at me confused and concerned.
Eddie: Are you high?
Y/n: No I'm serious, The duck was super friendly, I even got to pet it.
Eddie: Oh whatever, I'm just happy your back!
Y/n: I also ran into my dad on the way back from the pond.
Eddie stopped and looked at me with a worried look.
Eddie: What happened?
Y/n: He apologized.
Eddie: He apologized?
Dustin: He apologized?
Mike: What?
Y/n: He told me he had a dream of my mom and he stopped drinking so much. He told me how sorry he was and he actually looked normal again.
Eddie: Wow.
Y/n: The duck angel told me I have to love more and he was right!
Eddie: Are you sure your not high?
Y/n: I'm sure!
Erica: Can we finish this game now!
Dustin: Thank goodness y/n came back before Eddie started crying!
I laughed as Eddie looked at Dustin with a serious face.
Eddie: I was not about to cry!
Jeff: You totally were!
Gareth: He wasn't acting like himself.
Dustin: He was totally freaking out.
Eddie: I'm so sorry about what happened in the lunch room but Jason FUCKING KISSED YOU!
Y/n: It's okay.
Eddie: No it's not sweetheart, I shouldn't have lost my temper like that.
Eddie hugged me again even tighter than he did before.
Eddie: I'm so sorry. I heard his voice break.
I pulled away from the hug and grabbed Eddie's face. I looked at his eyes and seen he was crying.
Y/n: Why are you crying?
Eddie: I don't know y/n.
I haven't heard Eddie call me by my name in a while.
Gareth: Wow I never seen Eddie cry before.
I gave Gareth a shut the fuck up look and his smile immediately faded.
Gareth: Sorry!
Y/n: Eddie it's okay!
Eddie just hugged me again and cried into my shoulder. I haven't seen Eddie cry like this sense I died. I knew he was upset about something else but I didn't want to make him more upset by asking so I just held on to him as we dropped to the floor. I sat there holding him as the others watched us confused on why Eddie was acting this way.
Mike: Umm should we go?
Erica: We didn't even get to finish the game.
Y/n: Eddie is more important, Do you mind leaving us here for a minute?
Dustin: Sure.
They all went upstairs while Eddie and I stayed in the basement.
Y/n: I love you Eddie.
Eddie: I l-love you t-to.
Me and Eddie stayed on the floor for a while until he finally stopped crying.
Y/n: Do you feel better now?
Eddie: Yeah, I do.
Y/n: Do you want to talk about it?
Eddie: Sure.
Y/n: So what's got my Edward sad?
Eddie: I guess it's a little bit of everything. When you left I didn't know if you would come back and I got really scared that I would lose you again.
Y/n: I would never leave you Eddie, You are the only person I have besides Dustin.
Eddie: I'm so sorry I hit you, I didn't mean to. I stopped fighting Jason right as I realized and I went to look for you but I couldn't find you anywhere so I came here to try to get my mind off of you.
Y/n: Really?
Eddie: Yeah, I left Jason in horrible condition to. A smile creeped on his face when he said that.
Y/n: Good job.
Eddie: Thank you!
Y/n: For what?
Eddie: For listening and helping me.
Y/n: I should be thanking you. Your the one that saved me from my dad and Jason. You showed me what it felt like to be loved again so thank you Eddie your my hero.
Eddie smiled and pulled me in for another hug.
Eddie: Your very welcome princess.
Y/n: There is my Eddie!
Erica came back down into the basement.
Erica: Eddie can you stop being a big baby and finish the game now!
Eddie: Yeah, Yeah ok!
Erica: Finally! DUSTIN GET EVERYONE BACK IN HERE!
Everyone came back in and finished the game.
Dustin: We win!
Everyone cheered and was super happy.
Y/n: Congrats!
Dustin: You better take Eddie home and give him a good time after everything you put him through.
Y/n: What!
Dustin: You heard me.
Y/n: What have I put him through?
Dustin: Well you did die in his arms and you ran away leaving him so worried that he looked like he was about to pass out from stress. You got boys all around you like Steve, Billy, Jason, and others. You are one wild girl. I have known you for a long time and I never thought you would never date him because you were always so far away from him. I never thought you would even say hi to him.
Y/n: Wow Dustin, Just wow.
Dustin: But I always knew you and Eddie would work together when you would eventually talk to him.
Y/n: We we're supposed to go on a date today, But we can see how that turned out.
Dustin: Why can't you still go?
Y/n: Is the roller rink still open? And if it is, Does Eddie still want to go?
Dustin: I'm pretty sure it's open for two more hours and I'm sure Eddie would need to do something like that to clear his head.
Y/n: Your right, Thank you so much dusty bun!
I picked dustin up in a tight hug and put him back down.
Dustin: I have never seen you this open and loving before.
Y/n: You can thank Eddie for that.
Dustin: THANK YOU SO MUCH EDDIE, YOU FIXED HER!
Eddie: What?
Y/n: Come on let's go on our date.
Eddie: Oh I'm sorry I forgot about that.
Y/n: That's perfectly fine.

Me and Eddie left Dustin's house and went to the roller rink. We got our skates and went to put them on.
Eddie: Ah man, I'm going to go home sore.
Y/n: Haha, That sounds very dirty.
Eddie: It can be if you want to.
I gave him a smirk.
Y/n: Not now Ed's.
Eddie: Maybe later.
Me and Eddie got our skates one and went on the rink. Eddie had trouble getting on the rink and I just laughed at him the entire time but I stayed holding his hand and helping him skate, He fell a couple of times but he eventually got better.
Y/n: Your doing great!
Eddie: Yeah, But you even know how to skate backwards.
Y/n: It's not a competition.
Eddie: Good because if it was I would lose horribly.
I laughed and kissed Eddie on the cheek.
Me and Eddie were skating for a while. They were playing music and my favorite song came on.
Y/n: I love this song!
I let Eddie go on his own and I started dancing to the music. I was twirling and basically showing off.
Eddie: Woah.
Y/n: I'm impressing myself to be honest.
Eddie got a little distracted and fell on his butt. I rushed over to him laughing and helped him up.
Y/n: Aww did you hurt your butt?
Eddie: haha very funny. He let out a cheeky grin.
Eddie: I'm going to go get some food. You can stay here and skate if you want to.
Y/n: Ok!
Eddie went and took off his skates to go get food while I stayed and skated. I was still showing off and going faster than everyone else. I felt so free when I skated. The air in my face and I danced to the music. I loved it so much. Every time I looked over at Eddie I seen him staring at me. I also seen some girls looking at Eddie every now and then. Eddie got his food and went to a table to eat I soon got off the rink and went to his table.
Y/n: Hey Ed's what did you get?
Eddie: Water and some nachos.
Y/n: Can I have some?
Eddie: Sure, I got you some water to.
Y/n: Thanks!
Me and Eddie ate the nachos and drink our water.
Y/n: Are you done skating?
Eddie: Is it bad if I say yes?
Y/n: No, You can play the arcade games while I skate some more.
Eddie's eyes lit up.
Eddie: I completely forgot about that, And thanks I really didn't want to break any bones on that rink.
I laughed at him and gave him some money from my pocket.
Y/n: Here is some extra money for the games.
Eddie: Thanks!
Eddie went to play the arcade games and Went to skating some more. After a while I looked at Eddie and seen he was talking to a girl. I got off the rink and took off my skates. I went up behind Eddie.
Y/n: Hey Ed's are you almost ready?
Eddie turned around and looked very happy to see me and the girl gave me a go to hell look.
Eddie: Yeah, Are you?
Y/n: Yep, I'm tired.
Eddie: Me to.
Me and Eddie went to return the skates.
Y/n: Did you win anything?
Eddie: I got a little ring and a stuffed animal.
Y/n: What kind of stuffed animal?
Eddie: It's a pink monkey.
Y/n: Why is the monkey pink?
Eddie: I don't know.
Y/n: Anyway thank you for this amazing night!
Eddie: I should be thanking you, Your the one who wanted to go skating after all.
Y/n: Well in that case I thank myself for this amazing night.
Eddie: Here you can have the pink monkey and the ring.
Y/n: Awesome, Thanks Edward, I love you!
Eddie: I love you to princess.
