Chapter 22

Two days after the prom.
Eddie's pov:
Eddie: I can't believe I fucked this up, Why did I kiss her? Why?
All I could think about was y/n, I don't know why I kissed Michelle back I guess I was still thinking about y/n and got to ahead of myself. I have been cooped up in my room crying and getting high for the past two days. I was miserable without her. She still had all her stuff here so everything I looked at reminded me of her and it smelled like her. I tried to give y/n her space but I couldn't do it anymore. I changed my clothes and fixed myself up a little. It was raining outside and I was a little high but I got in my van and tried to drive to Mikes house. I was speeding a little bit. I was in a hurry to get y/n back. I hit my brakes as I was going to fast on the road and seen a dog in front of me.
Eddie: Fuck!
My van spun around and hit a pole and everything went black.

Y/n's pov:
It's been two days and I was miserable without Eddie I wanted to see him, I wanted to make everything right again I got dressed and fixed my hair and face up a bit because I have been crying a lot and you could see it. I was about to head out the door until Mike came running at me.
Mike: Y/N, E-EDDIE... SOMETHING HAPPENED!
My heart immediately stopped.
Y/n: W-What?
Mike: He is in the hospital!
Y/n: Well what are you waiting for we need to go see him!
Me and Mike got in my car(Nancy got the car from Eddie's trailer the day after prom) and I drove us to the hospital. When we got there me and Mike ran to the reception.
Y/n: We are here to see Edward Munson.
Receptionist: Edward Munson is in room 243.
Y/n: Thank you!
I dragged Mike to the room and stopped at the door. I was scared to see him. My heart was pounding out of my chest.
Mike: It's okay y/n.
Mike held my hand and we slowly walked into the room. I seen Eddie on the hospital bed, He was asleep. He looked so sad though. His eyes were red and puffy from crying as well as his nose. He also had bags under his eyes and he looked like a sad zombie. I sat in a chair next to him and held his hand. My eyes started to tear up. I was so happy to see him but so heartbroken to see him like this. I felt his hand squeeze around mine.
Y/n: Eddie?
He was in rough shape but I know he knew I was there.
Y/n: I love you Eddie.
I felt him squeeze my hand again.
I was tired from getting very little sleep on Nancy's floor. I laid my head down on the hospital and fell asleep.

I woke up still holding Eddie's hand. I slowly got up and let go of Eddie. I went to the bathroom and then went to get something to snack on. I went to a vending machine and got a some chips for me and Mike. I went back to the room and seen mike was awake.
Y/n: Hey Mike, I got you some chips.
Mike: Thanks.
We ate our chips and a doctor walked in.
Doctor: Hello, Im doctor Madison.
Y/n: Hello, Do you know what's wrong with him?
Doctor: He was in a car crash, He should wake up soon. He is very lucky to be in the condition that he is in.
Y/n: Car crash?
Doctor: I am going to check his vitals and heart beat.
The doctor was checking him normally until she got a little touchy. When she was checking his heart beat she was grazing his abs and admiring his body. I loudly cleared my throat and got her attention.
Doctor: He looks good, Nothing to worry about right now.
Y/n: That's good to hear.
Doctor: Are you the sister?
Y/n: No, I'm the girlfriend!
Doctor: Oh, Okay.
I smiled at her as she left the room.
Mike: I don't understand why Eddie is the chick magnet.
Y/n: Because he is is cute, But that's not what matters, He is also Nice and funny and a really great person, And I love him so much.
Mike: I know he loves you to y/n, I don't know why he was so stupid to kiss Michelle.
Y/n: Is it because he didn't want me anymore?
Mike: I don't think so.
Y/n: What If I'm just a joke to him?
Mike: Don't think like that y/n.
I started to cry again.
Y/n: I can't help it, I never told anyone this but when Jason kidnapped me he raped me. He touched me in disgusting ways. I was a joke to him like I was a joke to Eddie, Like I'm a joke to everyone.
I cried while holding onto Mike.
Mike: Your not a joke to me, I love having you as my friend and I know Dustin loves you to. I'm so sorry you feel this way but just know I will always be here for you.
Y/n: Thank you.
I pulled away from the hug and looked back at Eddie I seen a tear fall from his eye.
Y/n: Do you think he can hear us?
Mike: It's possible.
Y/n: Is that why he was squeezing my hand earlier, He heard all of that?
Mike: I think he loves you very much y/n, He doesn't think of you as a joke.
Y/n: All I want is to hold him In my arms again.
I grabbed Eddie hand again and kissed it.
Y/n: But this is as close as I can get.
A tear fell from my eye and landed on Eddie's hand.
Y/n: Mike do you need me to take you home?
Mike: Yeah, I am hungry and tried.
Y/n: Ok, Let me get my stuff and we can leave.
I got my stuff and started to head out of the room.
Y/n: I will be back later Eddie.
Me and Mike left and went back to his house. I got some food and drove to Eddie's trailer. I took a shower and changed my clothes. I looked around to see what Eddie had been up to and I seen a lot of weed, Cigarettes and a letter. I seen it was written to me.
