I opened the letter and read it.
" Dear y/n, I know you will never read this because it is to embarrassing for me to give it to you but I wanted to say I'm sorry and I love you with all my heart. I don't deserve you, And you didn't deserve what I did. I think the reason I kissed Michelle back is because I was thinking of you, Of how pretty you were in that dress that hugged your body perfectly and how I imagined you walking down the isle looking beautiful like that in a wedding dress. I love you so much it hurts. I honestly hope you never see this letter because it sounds really cheesy but I needed to write down what I wanted to tell you. One day I hope I will be able to see you in a wedding dress and me in a tux. I hope one day I can see you treating our children like how you treated Dustin at the prom, With so much love and compassion. I love you always and forever, -Eddie"
I read the letter and couldn't help but break down, Eddie really did love me, I wasn't a joke to him after all. I folded the letter back up and put it in my pocket.

I drove back to the hospital and rushed to Eddie's room. I seen him there still asleep. I went to the chair beside him and sat down. I grabbed his hand and kissed it.
Y/n: I'm back Eddie.
I felt him squeeze my hand.
Y/n: Oh Eddie, I seen the note you wrote and I'm glad I seen it. I love you so much that it hurts to.... At the prom when we were dancing I imagined a future with you. I imagined us getting married and having children. I want a life with you Eddie. You are the first person that showed me what it felt like to be loved and that I am worthy of love. You brought me happiness. I love you so, so, so much Edward Munson more than you could believe.

I held his hand up to my head and cried. Eddie slowly fluttered his eyes open and looked at me.
Eddie: I-I love you to.
I shot my head up and looked at him.
Y/n: Eddie, Your awake!
Eddie: Hey princess.
Y/n: Are you okay?
Eddie: It's just a scratch, It will be fine.
Y/n: You look horrible!
Eddie: Thanks.
I laughed at his sarcasm.
Eddie: I missed hearing that laugh.
Y/n: How did you get in a car crash?
Eddie: I was high and it was raining and... I was going to see you.
Y/n: Really?
Eddie: Yeah, I couldn't stand not being next to you when I wake up or hearing you laugh.
Eddie started crying.
Eddie: Or not being with you at all, I missed you so much.
Y/n: I missed you to Edward, I missed you so much!
Eddie: I so sorry, I didn't mean for any of this to happen.
Y/n: It's okay Eddie, It's okay, You know I was about to go to your trailer to see you until Mike told me you were here.
Eddie: Wow, We we're going to do the exact same thing.
Y/n: Great minds think alike.
Eddie laughed a little but soon stopped as he let out a groan.
Eddie: Ah, It hurts to laugh.
Y/n: I'm sorry about that.
Eddie: Why are you sorry?
Y/n: I feel like it's my fault, You got in this condition from wanting to see me.
Eddie: It was my decision, It's not your fault.
I held onto Eddie's hand and stared into his eyes until Robin and Steve walked in.
Robin: Eddie, Your awake!
Y/n: Yeah, He just woke up.
Steve: Are we interrupting something?
Y/n: No, We we're just talking.
Steve: What happened?
Eddie: I got in a car crash.
Steve: Oh dang, Will you be okay?
Eddie: Yeah, I'm all good.
I gave Steve a worried look, I know Eddie wasn't all good. He was in horrible condition.
Steve: Y/n, Can I talk to you outside?
Y/n: Yeah, Sure.
I kissed Eddie's hand and let go. I went outside of the room with Steve and shut the door behind us.
Y/n: What's up?
Steve: Is he really okay?
Y/n: I don't think so, He was laughing earlier and stopped from pain.
Steve: Where is the doctor.
Y/n: Umm... Over there. I said pointing to the doctor that was with Eddie earlier.
We walked over to the doctor.
Steve: Hello, Doctor Madison?
Doctor: Yes?
Steve: You know the patient Eddie Munson?
Y/n: Edward.
Doctor: The one with the long hair?
Steve: Yeah, Do you know how long it will take for him to recover?
Doctor: It will take him a couple of weeks until he can get out of the hospital and then he will be on bed rest at home.
Steve: Ok thank you.
Doctor: Your welcome.
The doctor left and it was just me and Steve.
Steve: So a couple of weeks means he is not in the worst condition.
Y/n: A couple of weeks and bed rest.
Steve: It could be worse, He could be... dead.
Y/n: I know and I am thankful that he is not.
Steve: If you ever need anything you can call me and I will help you and Eddie.
Y/n: Thank you Steve. I said giving him a hug.
Steve: Anytime.
We went back to Eddie's room and sat next to him again. I held his hand again. That was as close as I could get to feeling his touch. Robin and Steve left and it was just me and Eddie again.
Eddie: Do you know how long I will be in here?
Y/n: A couple of weeks.
Eddie: Ugh, I hate hospitals.
Y/n: I love you Eddie.
Eddie: I love you to y/n.
