Chapter 30

A couple of weeks passed and it was graduation day. Me and Eddie were getting our gowns and our graduation caps on. I painted a sunflower on my graduation cap and Eddie painted a D&D theme on his with a sunflower in the corner.
Y/n: Eds it's time to go.

At school:
I parked my car and we got out and went to where we were supposed to go. We all got in a line and Eddie was behind me I looked back at him a smiled.
Y/n: If you run, I'm following you.
Eddie: It's a race then.
Y/n: Your on!
Everyone got called up one by one and then it was my turn. I looked back at Eddie and then walked up to the principal. I shook his hand and took my diploma. I heard Steve and Dustin and everyone else cheering me on in the crowd. I went to the other side of the stage and watched as Eddie went up next. Steve and everyone was cheering so loudly it was quite wholesome. Eddie snatched his diploma and looked the principal dead in the eye and flipped him off. He then looked back at me and signaled that he was going to run and then he took off. I ran on the stage and jumped of as I was trying to catch up to him.
Y/n: CHEATER!
Everyone watched as me and him raced to the car screaming with joy and flipping everyone off.
Y/n: FUCK YALL!!
Eddie: WOOO!!!
We both made it to the car at the same time.
Eddie: I win!
Y/n: It was a tie!
Steve and everyone else came up behind us including Eddie's parents and my dad and I stopped in my tracks.
Y/n: Dad?
Eddie looked at me confused and then seen his own parents.
Eddie: What the-
Eddie's dad: Hey son, Congrats on graduating.
Eddie's mom ran up and hugged him.
Eddie's mom: I missed you so much!
Dad: Hey y/n, I'm so proud of you.
Y/n: Umm, Thanks.
Dad: Your mom would have been so happy to see you graduate.
He then looked at my ring and his brows furrowed.
Dad: Are you... engaged?
I looked at Eddie and he grabbed my hand and smiled at me.
Y/n: Yeah, We are.
Eddie's mom: I didn't know you had a girlfriend!
Eddie: Yeah well you weren't here so how could you have known.
I could tell Eddie was uncomfortable but I didn't exactly know what to do so I just held his hand and rubbed my thumb up and down caressing his hand gently telling him I loved him.
Eddie: I think we better get home now so...
Eddie's mom: Oh ok, Maybe we can meet up sometime with your fiancé.
Eddie: Maybe, Alright y/n let's go.
Dad: Wait, Pumpkin.
I snapped my attention to my dad, He hasn't called me that in years.
Y/n: W-What did you just call me?
Dad: Your my sweet pumpkin.
Y/n: No, I am not your sweet pumpkin anymore, You ruined that, You ruined everything!
Dad: JUST LISTEN TO ME!
He was started to get mad and I was getting scared.
Y/n: Whatever you have to say I don't want to hear it. It's pathetic that you couldn't be a father to me because of mom, Mom is fucking pissed off at you for treating me the way you do. I hate you and wish you never came. I stormed of into the school and went to the bathroom with tears in my eyes. Eddie followed behind me and knocked on the bathroom door.
Eddie: Princess, It's me, Can I come in?
I opened the door and collapsed in Eddie's arms. We both sunk to the floor.
Y/n: I wish he never came, He ruined the fun we were having.
Eddie: It's okay princess there will be more fun tomorrow.
Y/n: But today was our graduation.
Eddie: And it was great, We both ran away like crazy hooligans.
I laughed at Eddie's remark as I was still holding him tight.
Y/n: Yeah, We did.
Eddie: It wouldn't have been as much fun without you.
Y/n: With your partner in crime?
Eddie: Exactly!
Y/n: Thank you Edward, You always know what to say to cheer me up.
I kissed him and got up off the floor.
Eddie: Your very welcome princess.
I helped Eddie up as I seen his parents down the hall.
Y/n: I just want to go home.
Eddie: We will.
Eddie held my hand as we left the bathroom.
Eddie's mom: I can see why she said yes, You are a very kind soul Edward.
Eddie: Only y/n gets to call me that.
Eddie's mom: I am your mother, I can call you whatever I want.
Eddie: Come on princess let's go home.
Eddie grabbed my hand and led me out of the school and into the car. He drove us home in a hurry.

At the trailer:
Eddie went to take a shower while I went to watch a movie. I made popcorn and watched a horror movie. I watched the entire movie and then Eddie got out of the shower. He turned on some music as I turned off the tv.
Eddie: M'lady, Would you like to dance?
Y/n: Eddie you only have a towel on,
Eddie: We can dance naked.
I furrowed my brows at him.
Y/n: Edward go put some pants on.
Eddie: Fine, But I still want that dance.
I nodded at Eddie and he went to put some pants on. He came back shirtless but now he had sweatpants on.
Y/n: Thank you.
Eddie: Now may I have this dance?
Eddie held his hand out and bowed.
Y/n: Yes you may.
I grabbed Eddie's hand and we started dancing. We never broke eye contact. It was like we were back at prom. The song ended before I knew it and Eddie played me and your mama and we started dancing to that and other songs like I was made for loving you and You shook me all night long. We danced our hearts away and had a blast.
