" Will we be able to get home before midnight, William? " Thunders were momentarily heard as the stormy night have gone on. If the carriage wasn't that late with fetching you, you could've had went home a couple of hours ago. Not going through the muddy earth, making to harder for the carriage's wheels to round in.
Though, you wouldn't blame the man who is currently in his raincoat. William was trying his best to get the both of you in the Manor safely and with him, to not get hit by the lightning in the sky. Your patience was slightly decreasing as it the time goes on.
" We're near the mansion, young master. Just a couple of turns and we'll be there. " He informed, raising his voice so you could hear him better.
You sighed and nodded, there was nothing really much you can do than just sit.
You just hope that the documents at the back of the carriage were very well secured and were not soaked as it would be problem if it was damaged in any way.
" Please bring these cases in my bedroom, you can leave it just infront of the door. Thank you. "

The strikes of lightning lit up the windows of the dark halls you sauntered through. As the maid who you part in ways left you with a candle in your hand, the sound of thunder was the one that comforts you as you paced through the hallway. It was evident, if there were other people to see you in the hall of how clearly tired you were. Reason were the events that had happened earlier, to which contained cleaning your room back in the Laurent Manor, visiting the Footwear Factory and meet one of the last member of your biological family, who was your grandmother.
Your room was all getting dusty and when you entered the room, to find that the window is open wide, you knew that the papers you've left in your desk was all messed up on the floor and they were. That earns a light scold for the maids who were in charge of cleaning your room while most of the time you are not in the house. You have these schedule of staying in the Laurent Mansion for weekends, Saturday you'd sleep there and leaving an afternoon of Sunday. You never bring your sisters there, one time you did but they never entered, they'd just have taken a glimpse of what the front mansion was. Old and 'Creepy' as they'd described it.
But for you, it looked as normal as the Dimoche Manor.
The Shoe Factory seemed to be the one that ticked you off by the whole day, machines weren't working that properly and the cause, by the workers their may have been another worker who tried to sabotage it. But the work of letting it be fixed wasn't really yours, as though you were only an assistant of the head of the Corporation, you do nothing really much than just check them. Make sure that they were working well and not slacking off, their health comes in too, there was a plague starting to reach the country and you wouldn't to have the factory have the workers lessened. You heard that children were the most that are infected by such diseases as the infamous tuberculosis, typhoid fever, diphtheria and many more. You just have to pray to God that the people you love don't die by these diseases. Losing someone is hard, you learned that many years ago.
Speaking with diseases, there comes your grandmother who had caught smallpox. Even with her age being so old, she had still have the energy to visit your home, have some tea with you and even tell you that she had caught a disease. She told it to you with her right hand cupped into her lips, smiling as if she's about to tell you the biggest secret in history. " My doctor said I catched this thing called...smallpox. " Said she.
