You didn't dare to look back and acknowledge the pained yelp that left Aida's lips as she called for you to come back. You were swift to get out of the library, running past by the figure of of your step brother.

Through the halls everything came into a blur. Many maids and butlers, each of them were perplexed by your running form, some had called out for you asking if you were alright. One had even asked if the finger that you had accidentally cut yourself was fine now. By that mention you stared at it and completely almost forgot about the wound that you made yourself, though to their concern you did not reply as you were too troubled with your own thoughts to begin with.

You let your feet take wherever it would take you, as long as it was away from the library, where all of it happened. Far from them all, your feet halted in the garden. You went further the garden and hoped that no one would take in your presence. The place was tranquil and had no gardeners in sight, thankfully.

You clutched your chest and could feel your breathing getting ragged. You knew it wasn't from the running that you did, what really Aida had done to you back in that library was what it caused you to suffocate with your breath. It triggered something inside you and it wasn't any good. All you could think that what she's done might be connected to your father.

The very thought of your father had your face contorting into distaste, the hand that was clutching your chest went to your hair. The locks of it tangled on the spaces between your fingers as you pulled it, one may have thought that you've gone mad if ever that they have seen you in this state you were in. Now you just couldn't get rid off your mind those eyes Aida have stared you with, it didn't look like her at all. She was only a girl who was supposed to be dreaming and grow up slowly as what children like her should be. She wasn't supposed to act like that to you. Her action was revolting, such actions shouldn't be done by a mere child like her.

Where did the innocent Aida go?

You tried to regain your normal pace breathing back, but each time that you tried to calm yourself - a flash of Aida's face and your father's came into your mind. You felt like your were going insane and you hated each seconds of it when you feel like you weren't yourself. Because the normal you could easily handle a situation (be it good or bad) with ease. Were you going insane?

The sound of a creaky door opening made your head shot to the direction. Sein came into your sight, having a small smile plastered on his lips as he stared at you. He closed the door that was the only entrance towards the garden from the mansion and went down the short stairs, taking his time on walking towards you. He opened his mouth and started," I do not have the right to judge what the two of you have done back in the - "

" Don't mention it. " Though a whisper, it came out also a hiss. A hostile one at that, that same tone that you use whenever one has been striking a nerve at you.

" - Library. " Your eyes twitched.

Sein was a feet away from you now by the time he mentioned that place. That cheek of a smile that he had caused that infuriation by his presence that you were starting feel have grown bigger. What escaped from his mouth though seemed to cause it to get larger, veins would have been popping out from you skin as you did so.

" In fact, I don't care whatever is happening between Miss Aida and you. "

" There isn't something happening between the two of us, you idiot. " You were quick to spat out a reply. He shook his head and closed his eyes as if deep in thought, and disregarded your statement. " Though if you'd see it, even if there's something that will happen between the two of you in the future, judgement wouldn't come in your way because the two of you aren't even blood-related. I saw that look on your eyes when you looked at me, "
