The royal family was what everyone expected it to be: Disciplined, Elegant, even when their mouth shut and with their trained formal silence — such high authority they held were felt and seen. Truthfully, you've never been to a banquet like this, much fancier and extravagant than the few ones your demon-of-a-step-father have brought you with.

But then again, it wasn't like you expected less from this certain party, the king was the one who arranged this for his daughter. Everything was regal.

King Harold, the ruler of the kingdom of this century stood near his throne with a wine in his wrinkly right hand while chuckling with a fellow foreign royal as if this was the last day he'd get to do so.

He wasn't the best ruler out there (given the lists of the innocent people he sentenced with death, and other things to be considered not 'wise' of him) but he was there when the kingdom needed him to be. There were just people that were blind to see the wreckage that he caused behind that almighty king façade that he showed — that, or they fear to voice out and in exchange of their head to get sliced by a blade of a guillotine.

His eldest daughter, the heir of the throne, Princess Jade, laughed humorously, with such a high sound that it could echo around the room and reach outside even with closed doors.

Less than a dozen of high class men and women surrounded the heir and they all laughed in return. Though none of them really have found it funny. Everything happening inside this hall was strained. Strained smiles, strained greetings, strained conversations. But what does one expect when you were invited in a party filled with royals and with the famous royal family themselves?

You welcomed yourself through the door after introducing yourself as one of the royal son's close friend. An idiotic reason, wasn't it? But Mr. Wilson was a good housekeeper and a little helper, managing to send a letter and convince such thing. It was almost unbelievable, amazing, that a lie such as that could pass through the eldest daughter and the king.

Now, it was either the two were fools for believing that you were a companion of the prince or the rumors were true that the two gave no nothings about him.

You adorned yourself with clothings to suit yourself in this place. It was nothing special really, it was just like any higher class would wear, though, the only catch was that you had to use your own money to buy these.

Apparently, Sylvia wasn't that concerned with the almost lack of clothing in your wardrobe, and you could say the same with the twins. It was a good thing that you have enough money to spend, though for Aisha and Aida was a problem. You've got other things to rely on for money, like the fair share you have in the Laurent Company. But for the girls, obviously, it was only through Sylvia's wants that they could have something for their needs, rather than their own wants too.

You walked through the hall, feeling quite out of place. It wasn't every day, that you were in a royal banquet. In fact, this was the first time that you've been in such a place. Through your waltz, a servant offered you a glass of wine, in which you declined with a small polite smile—forced, but have done enough good job for the woman to leave.

You focused on letting your eyes wander around the area, nothing much caught your attention and no person had theirs to focus on yours. Exactly what you wanted—though, not for long. Your eyes searched for a mop of short brown hair and eyes dark as a pitch black sky, similar to the king and the heir, but frowned when you caught sight of nothing.

It seemed like the rumor also, of the prince disliking social gatherings was true, but that wouldn't stop you from actually meeting him here this night.

Afterall, you've got a scheme, a revenge on going and he would be a factor of it.

Surely, he'd be around the place just hiding, right?
