Years of living inside the Dimoche Manor, there was always this strange air that lingered. Sometimes light that barely one could feel it, albeit there were also circumstances that the air was too tight, such tension alike from a string instrument that if it was too high, something might break. And the tension that's around you, present with all the the familial members of the house along with Mr. Wilson was far from light.
You sat on your chair, positioned beside Aida, as younger between the two was on her right whilst seated across from you, were your half brothers. On the head chair was Sylvia herself while on the opposite end was the mentioned middle ageed man. Your dominant hand held the handle of cup with elegance, something that you were trained to do when you were young. The conversation that went back and forth between Sylvia and Mr. Wilson were half drowned out, finding no such things to react by the woman's reaction herself after finding out that there was a will. But something about the raven haired woman's tone of confusion that hid the devastation behind her voice had turned your attention fully on what was happening.
Especially when Aisha decided to voice herself.
" Moreover, father fell gravely ill under her care. " The anger was evident within, but at this moment, you couldn't bring yourself to voice your own feelings out. You needed the perfect timing, you thought. This didn't much concern you at all, whatever was on that will was to be followed. Afterall, it was something strong that the Dimoche family have held on through the years of inheritance. If not followed, consequences were to be given towards that person who was unwilling. So whatever Aisha was speaking of -- as much as you'd have to agree with her statements -- weren't much of a help.
" This is stipulated by the law, so all of you should try to get along to maintain the harmony within the Dimoche Manor. " With an overdone reassuring smile with pearly teeth showing, Slyvia assured that she would fulfill as the twin's and your mother.
To be raised as wise and mature, to be able to inherit the Dimoche businesses with prudence. That is, if ever that you had been part of the portion. With the fact that you were a Laurent yourself, in a family that were awfully rich with the family business that's been going for years -- you already had your expectations low with that thought.
Although you remembered that he had told you that if ever you wanted to inherit something from your current family, you were free to do so. A talk between you and your step father wasn't settled, even if he were still alive, you'd take a guess that it would come to this. You had enough power in terms of money and golds, you and him knew that. It wasn't just a topic that you and him frequently talked about because the relationship the two of you had brought you not to.
Something about not being part of it made it clear that Sylvia wouldn't treat you much the same as before.
" Madam, there's another point to take note of. You can live in the Dimoche Manor and operate the businesses together. All profits earned before Aisha and Aida marry out of family will be kept by you. You can decide on how you want to spend it. " Then the man further explained how consent was needed if ever that she was to be selling unprofitable businesses like estates, farms, and stores.
Registering what Mr. Wilson was talking of from the will, it seemed like marriage was the only key in order for the twins to take a grasp of the fortune closer than Sylvia could have. This was something that neither of them wanted. Aisha have taken that account for and asked that if ever the two of them weren't going to get married, would the assets not be used by them.
" Misses, you don't have to worry. If you don't get married by 25 years old, you're free to do whatever you want with your assets. "
25 years old is too far, you noted as you took another sip of the warming tea, unconsciously glancing at Sean while in deep thought but was quick to take your eyes just as when his were about to meet yours in contact.
