Chapter 7 - Result

At the big court there was a two table place at the center. On top of the two table had a crystal ball each. Two men was standing in front in their designated crystal ball.  Mateo and Edward knew about the purpose of their exam. Because they are both fell unconscious and the judges had a hard time choosing one of them to pass, they let the crystal ball judge for a fair fight.

"Now let's again welcome this two boys, Edward Cole and Mateo Woods!" Announcer Mira said pointing at the two boys. Mateo was now wearing his normal clothes. Cynthia thought him how to undo the transformation, luckily he immediately understood it. Edward was still the same as the last battle. However he still feel pain on his back. "The exam will be simple, the examinee will touch the top of the crystal ball with the left hand. In that, the crystal ball will start deciding. If the crystal ball light will turned white then it's a pass, if it's black then it's a failure. Now both of you begin!"

Mateo and Edward soon lift their left hand and touch the crystal ball. The crystal ball started to light with series of colors. Mateo and some of the examinees had their heart beating so fast waiting for the result. Mateo took a peek at the tall man next to him. The man was calm standing with his hand on the crystal ball while the other free hand was on his pocket. He was like a statue.

Mateo shake is head then look back at the crystal ball. After he look back, he saw the crystal ball that it was starting to gain a new light. A light that only the crystal ball can explain and no one can knew. Mateo grip his hands as soon as he saw the light. He lift his head and face the crowd. The crowd's reaction was shock, confuse, distaste, and happy. Some of the examinees bet with the descendants they know for the two for who will pass and who will not.

Beside him the man stand confident. He saw a glint of happiness in his eyes. Towards his front was a crystal ball that shinning brightly with white light. The tall man look at Mateo's crystal ball then smirk "The crystal ball seems to have a taste with your awful magic control"

Mateo look at him and cease his brows. He didn't say anything and thought that he was slightly right then look back at his crystal ball that was also emitting a bright white light.

"Both Edward Cole and Mateo Woods pass!" Soon Mira announce to everyone with her usual cheerful voice.

"In the end both of them pass" Mr. Samson said looking at the two young boys making their way to their respective seats. The teachers also look at the both of them then to the rest of the crowds and thought that their workload will again, be heavy.

The battle continued for 2 days until the last pair. The game was concluded with a total of 576 first year who are officially enrolled to Galeo High. The rest of the examinees who failed got out of the stadium and the ones who pass waited for further instruction.

"Congratulations new first year students of Galeo High!" Mira congratulate the remaining students with a high voice. The crowd that had their fear from failing all lifted up and shout their happiness loudly.

Mateo who was back now at his bench saw Karl and Lesley's had a big smile on their faces. They are glad that  they can meet their innocent friend in the campus. "You did well" Karl said then tap Mateo's shoulder.

"Yeah, but I think you should've not touch me" During the top 5 came to the resting room to fetch Mateo and Edward, they also speedily explain what they have observe during the battle and what could trigger Mateo's magic. However, it was just their own observation and it might not be like that. But to be more careful, they should avoid having physical contact with Mateo without the teacher in charge.

"Oops, out of habit" Karl said while taking his hands away out of Mateo's body. Mateo was silent thinking about the time he had with Karl. They have been touching and holding their hands since yesterday but it didn't trigger the magic. He look at Karl's hand and suddenly grab it. "Hey! What are you doing?!" Karl jump slightly and pull his hands from Mateo's grasp.
