Coffee in her right hand, shades on her face Echo walked towards the big building. Just midway she was joined by another brunette who apparently looked way better than her.
—How do you look so fucking fresh?
—I eat all my vegetables.
—Cut the shit, Lexa — and her friend couldn't help but laugh.
—I had two coffees...that's how I'm making it — truth was that coming back to college wasn't as easy as they thought, especially when they had to come back to this routine of waking up early.
—Maybe that's why I still look like this.
—Yeah, you look terrible. I can see the bags under your eyes, even with those shades on — now she was just making fun of Echo.
All she did was raise a middle finger right at Lexa, which made her laugh as they entered the building.
The college had started a week ago. Summer was technically over.
Echo was studying to become a lawyer while Lexa was studying marketing so they didn't really shared subjects except for one in the first year. That's the one that made them become friends, and the rest is history as they say. Sadly, this was the second year and they didn't share any class, so they made plans to have lunch together every time they could.
Their day went on, they did meet for lunch and were joined by Jessica, she was studying the same as Lexa. They became good friends too and she had hung out with Echo a couple times too.
Lunch went by with more talking than eating. Jess and Lexa said goodbye to Echo and ran to their next class before arriving late. This class was shared with some other careers, which was always interesting because that meant new people to meet. The brunette was good at that, making small talk and stuff...for some reason people seemed to want that from her.
Real thing was, Lexa was defently one of thos girls everyone want's to be arround but no one really get's to. At least not really. She was pretty, thought she had a cool personalty and a good amount of money. She was defenetly one of the it girls, and you could really tell that by her looks and even the way she walked.
The class went by, luckily it was Lexa's last class of the day. Jess apparently had taken up an extracurricular this month, so she wasn't going to join her for a coffee break before going home. She apologized a hundred times to with Lexa just brushed it off, calling it 'no big deal' and telling her they would make plans for the rest of the week. That seemed to work great for her so they said goodbye and Jess left, leaving Lexa alone.
The room started to empty, but Lexa stayed a bit longer to finish writing an email. It only took her about ten minutes, and then she was done. She closed her computer and started to shove everything into her bag.
She thought she was alone.
She wasn't.
—Hey — someone talked to her, making her lift her head up. —We need to talk to you. —
Lexa raised an eyebrow, who the hell was this girl? And as she moved her eyes to the person next to her, she swore she was going to throw up right there.
—Listen, I really have to go. Maybe next time? I'm gonna be late-
—No, we need to talk right now. You don't know me, but...—
—Lexa just fucking listen to us — Clarke couldn't hold it anymore, she spoke over her friend, Raven, voice.
Lexa had hope, a bit of hope, that that blonde girl wasn't going to remember her at all. They had way too many drinks. But apparently this girl has been just like her: they both had a great memory.
—What are you doing here? —Lexa couldn't hold it anymore either, did she go to this university? Had Clarke followed her or something like that? Oh god.
—She goes to this class and she is with me — Raven answered for her friend, she could tell Clarke was about to jump into Lexa's throat —Listent, we need your help.
—Why the fuck do you need me for, I don't even know you. — Lexa continued shoving her things into her bag and was ready to leave when Clarke opened her mouth again:
—It's about your boyfriend.—
Lexa stoped, she froze for a second. Francis? What about him?
—And our friend, Harper — Raven clarified.
—I don't know any Harper.—
—No, but we do. And last time we saw her, she was with your boyfriend at The Dropship. —
And then it all toke her to that weird night where she lost her boyfriend twice in the crowd and went back home alone.
What a shit show.
—Listen, I don't know what you want, but I can't help you.—
—We just want to know where he is.—
—Well, so do I.—
The room went silent for a bit. Raven and Lexa locked eyes.
—Don't make me waste my fucking time on this. —
And with that, she left.—
—Told you she was not a good idea.—
—Clarke, she knows this guy. She is our only shot, we need her. Don't you want to find Harper? —The blonde could tell the sadness in Raven's voice.
Harper never texted them to tell them she got home after The Dropship. And she always texted.
She was nowhere to be found.
