Two weeks had been since the three girls talked to Lexa. She seemed like a dead end. The only thing they got was a name: Francis. At least it was something.

As for Lexa she couldn't stop thinking about this whole situation. Her boyfriend missing, this girl missing, could it actually be related or was it just a very bad coincidence?

Francis wasn't one to go around making friends, you could barely see him talking to people he didn't know very well. So she wasn't sure if it was real that he was seen with this Harper girl. Unless...

An idea popped in her head on Monday night.

Lexa couldn't sleep for the next couple days. You could see it on her face, even behind those shades she had now made part of every outfit she was wearing.

—Hey stranger —Echo joined her the brunette walked her towards her class —I haven't seen you since last week—

—Yeah, sorry...kinda been using my lunch breaks to sleep — she admitted.

—Everything alright? —The question was dumb, but she felt the need to ask.

—I haven't been sleeping. I don't know why, maybe I'm worried with some classes—

—You've never been a nerd, there must be something else bothering you—

—No, no I mean it. I have too many projects I need to work on this semester, and group projects...you know how much I hate those—

—Well, this is college, my friend... —

And Echo went by with a long monologue, but Lexa wasn't listening. Instead she was looking at the other students, wondering if their first month back at school felt as weird as hers. As she looked around her gaze fell into a known face. Right next to the door Clarke was chatting with a guy. Is weird they share a class and she hasn't seen her... or maybe she wasn't paying attention. Anyways, she was glad they stopped coming after her. She felt weird knowing she was some sort of target for these three unknown girls. She even had to make her Instagram private after realising this Octavia girl was seeing her stories. And that crushed the last lead the girls had.

Lexa and Echo parted ways, but made a promise to have lunch together. So after a couple of classes they did.

—Coming to my party at night?—

—No, I think I'm just gonna go home and sleep. —

—Jeez, that's so unlike you —Echo couldn't help but put a hand on her friend's forehead to 'check for fever' —What's really going on with you?—

—Stop! — With a simple movement Lexa got rid of her hand — God. I'm just tired, that's all. —

—You never say no to a party... —

—Give me a break, Echo — Lexa seemed pretty pissed, she even got all her stuff and stood up to leave.

Echo stayed at the table, not knowing what the hell was wrong with her friend.

The truth is her own thoughts were eating her alive. Keeping her away from sleeping, making it hard to focus on class, fidgeting her fingers as she always did when she was nervous. She didn't want to get involved into a problem, but she couldn't get an idea out of her head.

She knew what she had to do after class.

4pm came quicker than what she expected. She packed all her things and took a glance at the back of the classroom. Clarke was there, of course. Lexa had to grab all her courage to go there. But as she was about to reach the blonde Jessica stood in her way.

Maybe it was a sign?

—Hey! Going to Echo's later? —

—No...too tired —Her eyes were lost at the blonde who was now walking towards them, probably to get to the door.

—Oh, bummer! —

—Yeah, I'm not feeling great. I'll be there next time— Jess asked something, but Lexa was too distracted to even listen. The only thing she did was keeping her eyes on Clarke, she needed to talk to her. —Sorry, what? —

—I asked if you need a ride home. I have my car again — A smiling Jess was looking at her now. Right, her friend got back her car this week. The last thing she remembered about that was Jess complaining about how the mechanic told her they needed a week to fix some weird problem in the engine. But then again, she wasn't listening that day either.

—Oh, no thanks. I'm fine. I need to go to the library and get some books — That was like the worst lie ever, but somehow Jess managed to believe it —Yeah, I'm gonna be late if I don't go now! You know it closes at 4:30 on Friday. So, I'm gonna run. Have fun at Echo's — she gave her a smile, and after saying goodbye Lexa left.

Of course as soon as she stood on the hallways there was no blonde.

—Fucking great — she needed to find her, and that's when she remembered she saw her in the parking lot a couple times. Maybe Clarke had a car.

Lexa made her way to the parking lot, even though she didn't have a car herself. The place she was living at right now didn't have a parking lot so the car she used was at home, a couple of miles away from this town.

There she was! Clarke was talking to Raven, and she thought that was the real sign. Lexa made sure no one was looking when she started to walk towards them. She saw them opening the door to get in the car so she had to speed up.

—Wait! Wait — is the first thing she said, making them both stop and freeze.

They didn't say anything. Raven and Clarke just looked at each other in disbelief, what was this about?

—Is Harper a drug addict? — The question came before she even gave explanations

—What the... —

—Is she or not?! — Her eyes were now locked with Clarke's.

—God, no. Harper has never done drugs. Hell, she almost never drinks—

Lexa felt like she could breath again. A tiny part of her was relieved. Maybe she was going to be able to sleep that night.

—Okay, you need to explain. —Clarke spoke again and Lexa just shook her head

—Just an idea, nevermind

—Get in the car — this time it was Raven, with a voice Lexa had never heard before and one that Clarke knew too well. —Get in the goddamn car, I'm not saying it again. —

Lexa wasn't afraid of her. She even dared to make a stare contest with Raven. It wasn't as intense as the one she had with Clarke a couple days ago... but damn apparently she was good at it.

There was something that made her get in that car anyways : she wanted to find Francis.
