After a few miles into the trip, Kakashi noticed how the sun was setting and he decided it would be best if his team set up camp here and just continued in the morning. He decided to distribute the tasks but the newcomer was not only cold but stubborn and refused to help. Over the past few minutes she seemed to have dropped the cold attitude and was talking more but it didn't really help them become all friendly with each other as she only spoke insults directed at the Uchiha.

"Scared of the woods at night?"

"Can't handle your small work?"

"Idiotic."

"Duckass"

"Redhead."

The redhead seemed to have deemed these people were a complete waste of her time and she didn't even bother to inform them when she walked out on them for a stroll in the woods.

"Kakashi-sensei? Sasuke? Mi——what was her name again? Anyways——AAAAAAAAHHHHH!! " Naruto exclaimed as he fell backwards as Mei appeared before him.

"Mei's the name. Dont treat it like its not important." She said firmly as she offered him a hand. Naruto looked at it warily before he took it and got up.

"Guess your name is so unimportant that its easily forgotten. Just shows how truly idiotic and weak you are." A voice said just as Naruto was already making his way over to the other side of the came.

"I guess yours was just so stupid and meaningless that's why its easily remembered by an Idiot like him" She retorted.

Kakashi sighed as he exited his camp and saw two kids bickering again. He didn't really know id he preferred Mei not talking or speaking insults to the Uchiha considering neither is really contributing to the supposed teamwork that he was hoping for. He released a sigh as he stepped in between the two kids.

"Everyone get ready to move out." He stated and the two sent each other a brief glare before complying.

The rest of the trip was pretty quiet, well quieter than usual as the only speaking was Naruto throwing questions everywhere. Kakashi made sure that Mei was nowhere near the Uchiha so that they didn't have to constantly

"MEI-ONEECHAN!" A little girl exclaimed as Miharu entered the mansion and the said redhead was tackled into a tight hug by a little girl that had short brown hair and golden eyes. "Easy there, tiger." She chuckled as she hugged the girl back.

"I missed you, oneechan." The girl muttered as drew back and looked up into Mei's emerald orbs and she smiled in return as she ruffled the girl's hair. The girl looked past her and hid behind Mei once she saw the four strangers standing there. Kakashi sent a what seemed like a smile behind his mask at her and Naruto and Sakura followed while Sasuke couldn't look less interested in the child before him.

"Who are they?" The girl whispered as she tugged on the hem of Mei's turtleneck. "They're my team mates, Suzai. They're going to help me." She replied with a kind smile that surprised the entire team 7. They didn't know that the cold redhead they were introduced to was able to speak so softly and smile so kindly to a child. Kakashi didn't even think that Mei was only pretending considering her smile and tone seemed so genuine.

The girl, now identified as Suzai, looked warily at each of them, her eyes landing longer on Sasuke compared to the other three, before her gaze met Mei's once more. She tugged on her sleeves, motioning for her to bend down to her height and she complied. "He's like the others, oneechan. Will he really help?" She whispered, fear visible in her golden eyes. Mei released a soft sigh before replying, "He might feel like that but I don't think he will. If he does though, don't worry; I'll protect you."

Mei was playing with Suzai in the garden while everyone else rested. The little girl really wanted to spend time with her and she didn't really feel especially tired so she didn't see why she shouldn't play with her. Even if she did feel tired, she would still play with her anyways. She thought of Suzai as her own little sister and she felt sad that the girl didn't have anyone to play with on a daily basis and that she wasn't really allowed to leave the manor so she made sure to always stay with the girl and play with her as much as she can when she was here.

They both smiled and laughed as they played different games. A certain ninja watched them from the shadows with a bewildered look. The way the kunoichi is acting right now is completely different from how she was acting before. She didnt glare, growl, or hissed. Her voice and laughter were kind and soft. Her smile and eyes were warm and shone so bright. He wondered if this was really the redhead that he failed to notice in the Hokages office.

Kakashi walked around the manor, looking for the rest of his team that was not resting when a certain raven haired boy with a confused expression standing near the door that led to the garden caught his eye. He was about to approach the boy when he saw that the boy was apparently gazing at. Mei and the little girl was playing outside and the said kunoichi did look quite different from how she was acting since they met her. Kakashi smirked under his mask and decided not to bother any of them first. He thought that maybe if they knew how each other really acted, there would be less insults thrown on a daily basis. Well that's what he hoped would happen at least.
